I agree there are many gullible people out there.

but for him to say you cannot extend lifespan is premature, and he really has no data to support it one way or the other. These people:

    http://www.crsociety.org/

believe that they WILL increase their lifespan by doing what they do! And without any real data, how can this author quoting an anonymous doctor say that these people are wrong? In fact, there is great anecdotal evidence to suggest these people are right!

Most of what i do is to extend quality of life, not overall extension of life. But there are a couple of things im' doing that may help that too.

    Ridiculous article. This in particular:

Unregulated anti-aging products and services range "from innocuous to very dangerous -- for example, growth hormone and testosterone," Perls said. "These are very dangerous and expensive, and certainly do nothing in terms of stopping or suspending aging. Please stay very, very far away from these clinics."

Testosterone is dangerous? Whats dangerous is not having enough Testosterone. Our generation is exceptionally fortunate to be able to treat the debilitating effects of low T and improve our quality of life. Our parents generation was not so furtunate.

I also wasn't aware that testosterone and growth hormone were "unregulated." The one fact this article has, they got wrong.

Sounds like hogwash..... I want to see a picture of the author next to a picture of Dr. Life or Dr. Crisler or any number of HRTers on this board...... being a hunched over depressed old man doesn't seem like a better way to go through your latter years in my mind.

Exactly. It's always the 'weak-suits' who tell us what we're doing is wrong & then try to regulate it. Pretty much describes every elected official in our government too...
