Did my 1st self inject today - kinda freaked me out a little (Sub Q too)
Yep. The new doc says no problem. Well it was a problem for me for a few minutes lol. I don't have a lot of fear but sticking a needle into your body yourself is just not normal. Doc said just stick it in like a dart. Here is how he explained it. Now that I will be self injecting 3 x's a week I will only need 60 mg instead of 100 mg. Also that Estro will stay lower esp since it is now injected into the love handle fat area. Guess we will see. Sent in a saliva test yesterday before starting this new protocol. Guess I will see how it works.
Anyway here is how he said to self inject. Any extra suggestions appreciated;
1) Alcohol the area.
2) Pull air into syringe.
3) Dart at an angle into rubber vial top to prevent coring and push air in.
4) Turn upside down.
5) Draw 2x's more than you need.
6) Push extra cc's back into bottle to proper amount while expelling any bubbles.
7) Pinch an inch of fat close to side.
8) Make sure alcohol dry to prevent burning sensation.
9) Dart at a slight angle and inject slowly.
10) Clean inject site and top of vial with another alcohol swab.

As a paramedic I do not pinch the skin, dont feel I have to. Also make sure you pull back on the plunger once you are in to make sure you do not asperate any blood (possible you are in a vein or vessel). You want to make sure it goes into the muscle. Hope this helps!!

no need to aspirate doing SQ. Suprarob, you did it correct, except don't need to stick the needle at an angle when drawing, simply go in straight and pull.

If SQ it's best to pinch up the fat pad to inject.
A reservoir will be created when the ester is injected into the tissue and this will help with that formation.
Remember, a mild message when complete to help flatten the reservoir.

did you check out dr crislers new subQ video on youtube?
that video is really excellent for anyone starting testosterone because its very straightforward and "real." I remember looking on youtube for injection videos to prime me up on injection technique and I couldn't believe the amount of youtube injection "how to's" with BAD injection technique!

OP, you will get used to the process. It's real simple, and nothing to freak out about it. I always stick with 5/16" insulin pins. Just push in all the way, inject, it's that simple ...

I've been doing sub-q. T injections for 8 months now.....much better and easier, also more effective then big dosge IM,
Yes watch Crislers video, I'm a paitent of his, and he is very good, the video says it all.
Try a 27g 1/2" fixed need syringe for best results. Fills easy and injects easy with little pain. Easier then a HCG 30-31g syringe.
Yes it's a little freaky to start injecting but after a few times it will become pretty damn simple. SQ is less stressful too....less chance to hit nerve or vein....no need to aspirate etc.
Good luck

Do not pinch the fat. Watch the video by Dr. Crisler that I posted a link to a few posts above. Pinching the fat causes some of the Testosterone to leak out (or something like that.) You'll likely be using very small length needles, so there shouldn't be a need to pinch. I use 29 gauge, 1/2" insulin needles with no problem. But I guess some people do pinch. I'm just going according to the video, and Dr. Crisler.

People are for and against pinching the skin/fat but don't get to caught up in this detail. There obviously tons of people doing it both ways without problems.

I pinch slightly just to stick needle in then I slowly release skin as I begin to inject
