estrogen questions
hey guys. i been taking axiron for a couple months now. with my last blood test my estrogen was at 95 pg. labcorp says 40 to 115 is normal. i asked for a sensitive estrogen test and they had no idea what i meant. a couple weeks later i got some exemestane pills to counter the estrogen. i started taking them 4 days before my next blood test. when i got my results i was at 445 test which was the lowest since using hrt. but my estrogen was 31 which they say is low. should i stop using the exemestane for now? im noticing some erection weirdness. in the beginning i was gettinbg hard ons left and right. did i get my e2 too low? i also use hcg 500 every other day. i also switched to 250 test shots every to 4 days. im terrible at typing im a construction guy. sorry if it bugs anyone :P

Labcorp Sensitive Assay Test Codes:
E-Sensitive: 140244
CPT Code: 82670
Take these with you every time you go. The normal workers there just are not familiar with this yet and will screw it up if you don't. Low E can and will cause libido issues so it's possible. But until you get the proper test your really guessing. Have your doc call it in and get it done. No fasting needed. I would stop the stane until you know exactly where you are and how to treat it.
HCG @ 500 eod is too much. 250 IU either two or 3 times a week is sufficient for TRT.
Also, 250mg test every 4 days is pretty much 500mg a week. That is not TRT, it's a cycle. 500mg test is pretty much exactly what is recommended for a first time cycle. Long term for TRT, not good. Is this self-prescribed or under a doc's control? Either way, you need to titrate down which in the long run will help your E control.
I also do not understand such a low total test reading if on that amount of test every 4 days. Something's amiss. When was blood pulled relative to your last injection?

Oo i just started the shots. The blood test was with only axeiron. Last year when i started on androgel my first blood test i was at 886 test then every couple months i went back it was getting lower and lower now on just gels it was 445. I was thinking my body was rejecting the gel now. My friend who is knowledgeable. Turned me onto the shots. They are easier then waiting for the gel to dry. And gel is expensive as hell. Should i just do one shot a week? Or just stick with the gel even tho its tapering off

That clears it up a bit then. Still my question remains, is this on your own or with a doc? Gels don't work for everyone but treatment options are up to you and your doc. A normal weekly injection dosage is around 100mg per week, so you see the difference with what you are doing which has long term implications and considerations.
Personally, I would suggest 50mg every 3.5 days and retest in about 4-6 weeks. BW examples are in the Finding a Doc sticky. You need stability and a set protocol. Then based on BW you can make changes to get yourself dialed in and optimize your health. More is not better with TRT. Look into Sub-Q injection methods as well.

No sadly its not. My doctors keep pushing the gel. I have a knowledgeable friend who who gets stuff for me. Its just amazing how much the gel costs. Do you think the erection weirdness is too much e? Or too little? I noticed theres alot less semen in ejaculating. I know that cant be helped really. Im just so confused. I was thinking of just using a pct guide and just back to normal. But then again i wasnt producing any test at all when i got tested. Also my allergies are awful right now so its hard to tell why im tired

OP, you're on a course for crash & burn!! Read Kelkel's comments closely, read the stickies in our forum, and get yourself into the hands of a qualified physician who can get you on the right track. You are potentially asking for a lot of trouble with your health by taking this course, and the net result to your health will be detrimental. Does your profile name indicate that your are 23yo? Nobody is going to boot you or flame you if you are young, I just want to know what the scoop is on your program. How did you find yourself stepping into TRT in the first place?

Personal choice. It's all test, just a different delivery system. How you feel is the criteria here. Check out the thread posted today with Crislers new video on transdermals.

Sure. Depends on your Free T and how you feel overall. Some do fine with less. Less = more in TRT. Less sides, less ancillaries, etc....

Yes, i agree with you there. I ve always been a big dude and strong but the tiredness was really getting to me. I dropped 30 pds on androgel . The only sides so far is shooting blanks and shrinkage, but that was expected
