To Refill or Not To Refill
Hey guys, new to the forum but been reading regularly for past six months. Want to shoot a quick thanks out to the regulars that I've learned so much from.
Ok to my question, this might be a little off the beaten path as far as regular questions go but I wanted to get some feedback on this. I was prescribed test cyp by my GP for some time. He eventually told me to discontinue and follow up with a specialist, thankfully to this site I located a good one and have gotten on basically the Dr. Crisler protocol and am awaiting my prescriptions to come in the mail.
Now...I still have three refills left on my GP's test cyp prescription. This may come down to a question of morality or whatever, but I am educated and not planning to do anything stupid and abuse myself on test cyp especially since I monitor sides so detailed and know that just blasting in the dark is dumb. My motivation to contemplate refilling my old prescription is to build a surplus of test cyp only. My new prescription comes from a completely different pharmacy. I'm basically sitting here with a previous test cyp prescription with three more refills on it that I will either A) throw in the trash, or B) collect refills on.
My question is...would this be illegal in anyway or potentially risk any negative fallout of any sorts? I've done as much research as I can find on it and it seems to be a bit of a grey area. I am not quite sure what my rights on in this situation, which is why I have decided not to act at all. The safest bet is to just throw away the previous prescription but I wanted to make one last inquiry about this before I do so to see what you guys think or if anyone has been in this situation.
Thanks guys.

I believe it is illegal. Like going to multiple doctors to get pain pills. I have no idea if somehow it will get cross referenced (insurance?)
I don't like seeing anyone discussing ways to abuse the TRT system. I know guys try to figure out how to get AAS legally, but that is the sort of thing that will make our treatment more difficult to get if abuse is ever recognized as a problem by the government.
I look forward to seeing answers from others.Last edited by JohnnyVegas; 12-12-2012 at 11:57 AM.

Can't disagree with what JV said at all. Matter of fact, how do you think your relationship would be with your doc if somehow he found out what went on. If you have a good doc, build that relationship first and foremost.

Yes, there is now a national database that most pharmacies subscribe to and it tracks prescriptions purchase patterns like this.
It monitors Doctors mostly who are pill mills and they also track patient orders as well.
Would you show up as a red flag...?
I doubt it...but why take the chance?

kelkel - thanks, I will definitely do so. I've learned an immense amount here and feel privileged to be a part of such a great community.
gdevine - couldn't agree with you more, not worth it.
Thanks guys.

depending on the state, the programs for tracking controlled substances vary from good to non-existent. the pain pill industry is largely responsible for these programs going into effect.
whether or not it's illegal I don't really know, but 3 bottles of testosterone aren't going to get you that much of a surplus in the first place.
like others have said, if you have reservations about it, just forget about it and don't worry... you'll get less grey hairs that way .

It's a shame that we are sometimes micro managed by the docs and pharmacies.
One of the biggest things I hate about TRT is having to constantly get refills called in.
Nothing more stressful then when you are on your last vial and you have no refills left and have to wait on the doc to call in your rx

I wish my Doc could call in my refills. My State requires a new script for every refill of Test Cyp & HCG . Ugh...

Having a little extra on hand is never a bad thing.
