HCG for women is there any benfit for them to take it
So my wife saw me inject my hcg and now shes curious about it for herself and she is reading all the stuff on the internet about the hcg diet. So i told her i would check with you guys opinions on hcg for women and does it help lose weight or is just the 500 calorie diet that does it.

The hcg diet is very effective. The hcg helps to unlock stubborn fat cells, but this only happens in a calorie deficient body. If you are interested in the diet I highly recommend you get the book, "hCG weight loose cure guide", its on amazon.

i have no experience with HCG and the diet, but seems that the folks I know that did this gained every bit of weigh lost back plus some. I do not recommend severe caloric restriction as I don't regard it as healthy and actually find it counter productive since the body is basically being starved and tends to hold onto fat. Actually, i would recommend your wife look into a heathlier approach. I lost 40 pounds by eating...ridiculous....a sensible nutrition plan, which is better IMHO. Either have your wife register or you can start a thread with her stats (height/weight/age/bf%), sample diet and her goals and she'll get the help she is looking for. BTW, it was 2 years ago today that I started and have maintained my fat lost. I was never able to do that on "gimicks". Learn to eat within TDEE and macros and she'll be farther along!!! Good luck!

You need to do some research on the HCG diet as from everything I've read it's more the low cal intake then it is the HCG.
HCG is a LH analog and I just don't see how it works to reduce fat.
TRT in men increases the resting metabolic rate so weight lose just comes along with that...but HCG...I just don't get how it metabolizes fat.

Not like it dose for men in keeping their testicles functioning when HPTA suppressed.
For both men and women it's used as a fertility drug.
HCG is used in women to stimulate ovulation by promoting egg release.
HCG injections helps both infertile men and women to conceive.

My buddy just got his wife prego while she was on some potent birth control. She had been on it for years even upped her dose. Never worried about having kids then she starts her hcg diet and then bam....now they are having a little one on the way. He swears the hcg is to blame lmao

I never thought it would effect the birth control. Glad his wife went first bc mine was about to start hers and I wouldn't have thought about it! I'd have another Lil man running around Like a wild banshee! Lol

Is by no means the healthiest way to loose weight but it does work, there is a specific protocol to follow while on the diet and after, if its not followed you won't loose weight or will gain it back after.
Excersizing and a reasonable diet is the best way, but for the person that just refuses to exercise this might be for you.

G Gymrat, hit the nail directly on the head!! The trick is not losing the weight, thats the easy part its keeping it off! Without a lifestyle change this will NOT happen. Not to mention the cost for the HcG diet, I saw it somewhere and about fell over. Some think the more it cost the better it must be, oh what a poor misconception!

I tried it. Took the shots and pretty much ate what I wanted and still lost some weight for an event I had to go to since I was desperate. Then afterwards? Once stopped the shots? Back to where I started.
And then came to the nutrition forum to admit I needed to learn to eat and VOILA! Just like GirlyGymRat, I lost over 40 pounds and have kept it off FINALLY learning to eat. The Nutrition forum has literally changed my life.
New body. New wardrobe. New grocery cart.
Slow wins this weight loss race with baby steps if someone is serious about losing the weight. And if it were easy everybody would do it. It takes making up one's mind to be ready. And when ready, come on over to the Nutrition forum where many have gone down this path and will help!Life is too short, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.Author Unknown

Hoping I will soon too!
On another note - does anybody know the average dosages for HCG on the diet? I'm interested to know what it is compared to the relative low dosage as part of a TRT protocol.
Another question that I feel begs to be asked - is anybody aware of any 'side' effects, either favorable or unfavorable (depends on who you ask I suppose) to using HCG as something other than fertility/testicular functionality? As an LH analog, does it suppress LH due to negative feedback in an otherwise healthy person (i.e. somebody not on TRT where LH/FSH is already suppressed)?
Sorry for the hijack!
