Hcg dose with TRT?
Hi, I'm on TRT and have been on a self prescribed hcg regimen, 200ius x/week. I'll use 5000ius and then discontinue use for about a month.
For you guys on TRT and hcg, I was hoping to get some feedback on what your doc has prescribed for hcg.
Thanks.

You're on 200 iu's how many times a week?
My doc prescribed 2000 iu's a week (1000 iu's 2x weekly), but after discussing with some of the TRT specialists here, I've decided to go with 900 iu's (300 iu's 3x weekly).

Wow.....I'm using 200ius twice a week. It's working, my testies start to shrink at the end of my month off and return to normal when I start again.
Is it necessary to take the month off? I've read the body will get desynthesized to it after time.

I can only speak for myself, but 100iu/day keeps them perfect for me. I've read where higher doses can have a desensitizing effe t. Not sure what exactly constitutes a "higher" dose. Those wisemen will be able to answer the question. gbrice...looking good. Has your e2 gone up. I just had mine checked today. At my small dose, hopefully it stays put.

Read the sticky on HCG ; pretty much covers what you need to know.
Never do more than 350 iu on any single day. You only have so many leydig cell receptors so adding in more won't do you any good but just increase E2.

It's not true. I've been going 3 years straight, and it's as good as ever. The body gets plenty of LH as a teen and in your 20's, and desensitization is not an issue. No reason it would be an issue if you're replenishing it steadily as if the HPTA were functioning normally. As GD mentions, dosage should be the focus.

150mg test-c/week with 300ius HCG . Didn't start the HCG until about 2 months into my TRT regimen and the fellas were shrinking up pretty bad at that point.

Thanks for info.
I've requested the hcg from my doc 2 months ago. And had hesitated using it, but after researching and seeing many of the post here. have started using it. my buddies are coming back. The part that is interesting is the dosage use by some memebers. I am still trying to dial it in. Started at 250 once every 7 days. I will change it to once every 5 days after talking to my doc.

Thanks brother... but the avy is over a year old now, lol! I'm quite a bit fatter at the moment: http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...)#.UObjpeTAeSo (hijack alert!)
Surprisingly, my E2 has been really good, mid-range. What i'm VERY unhappy about and concerned with is that my prolactin was elevated on the last set of labs (above the reference range)... not sure why. I'll probably have to go for an MRI to see what's doing.

Thanks...good to hear about the e2 staying put. I'll be interested to see my results in a day, or so. Yea, an mri is a good idea. I had one a few months back. Piece of cake(as long as ins. is paying). BTW...I checked out your current pics. If thats fat, sign me up. I work out smart and give myself the needed rest, but only in my dreams will I look like that. I guess at 51, just glad to be in shape. Lookin' buff, my friend.

Keep us posted with your results, i'd be interested to see where you're at. As for an MRI - yea, i'll just need to find a place that's within my insurance plan's network.
lol thanks brother, I appreciate the kind words. I just meant i'm much fatter than in my avy pic... fat by bodybuilding standards. If I can manage to strip the fat this spring/summer and maintain most of the size, i'll be a happy camper. At 37, i'm no spring chicken myself... it's definitely a hell of a lot harder to accomplish than it is for a 20 year old.
