Garlic Supplements to help thin blood instead of asprin?

My Doctor recommended using a Garlic supplement to help thin blood and lower Hemoglobin levels while on TRT. I'm curious if anyone has heard of this as well? He said giving blood is a necessity but taking the garlic supplement will help as well and is better than taking Asprin.

I have DVT's and Plebitis and I take 1 adult asprin a day and 1 capsule of Kyolic with each meal no Garlic smell at all and look at my recent blood work my RBC is high and my Hemoglobin is high also. Now as stated on this forum all the time all people are different . I can't afford Lovonox at $250.00 per pre loaded syringe and Comodin (Warfrin) [rat poision] will not regulate my pro-time blood level and my vascular surgeon told me to just take an asprin a day and I added the Kyolic and I had a pliminary Emblisim in Feb of 2012 = a blood clot hit my lung. So with that being said ! Damed if you do and damned if you don't !

Interesting. I would like to give the garlic supp a try since my levels were high as of last blood work.

I can't always get to a blood drive either so this seems like a good safety precaution.

    Thanks for the info.
