Axiron, anyone?
Just started Axiron about a week ago (60-mg/day) 35 year old male, 261 total T. Ultramarathoner, <10% body fat. Continually worn out regardless of diet, exercise and 10+ hrs of sleep every night. Hoping to see some pick up in energy levels.
I think I'm already feeling a little bit better, but I hadn't seen any recent posts on Axiron. Are any of you applying in other spots other than underarms? No HCG regimen yet, but will go back to GP in a few weeks for BW. She mentioned that she'd want to test E2 levels, so we'll see. Great forum here folks with lots of thorough information for us TRT newbies. I was embarrassed to have low T, but I think I'll be glad I figured out what was wrong and hope to feel better in the process.

Welcome zero. You mentioned you figured out what was wrong. What exactly caused the low T? What was the doc's diagnosis?
And welcome to the forum!
Good name. Great movie btw.

Diagnosis was just that we should check thyroid, T, Vit D, etc. Thanks for the welcome and I hope to get additional insight after the BW next month. (Ditto on the movie!)

I've been on Axiron for about 5.5 months now. It's the only TRT that I have been on.
I use 4 pumps a day and put one pump into each armpit and one pump on each forearm and side abs. (I rub my forearms against my sides.)
When I tried using 2 pumps per armpit I ended up getting some white flaky residue.
I am still at 5.5 months making size/strength/energy gains.

What I meant was, and this seems to be the case here unless I'm wrong. That your doc put you on TRT with the only real diagnosis being low T. My question still stands as it should for you and your doc. What actually caused it and is it correctable to eliminate TRT. Every effort should be made to solve the problem, not band aid it! Most doc's just don't understand endocrinology / hormones.

No need to be embarrassed, but I get your drift. If it were diabetes, you'd address that ailment too correct? That's how I look at it. Just be patient & get yourself dialed in. The real gift is with diet & training we can actually better ourselves like never before. Enjoy the ride. After 6 months or one year with proper treatment, diet & training you're gonna look & feel great. Wait until you compare yourself to your other, couch potato friends. You'll really appreciate it then...

No, I agree completely. However, as I'm sure you agree, MDs are generally treaters of a disease as opposed to looking toward the root causes of the disease. In this case, she was looking to solve the riddle of low energy, and a basic blood test was her first step. Having been married to a MD, I know personally how little training is given on the subject.

I'm wondering if Lilly's instructions for application of Axiron under the arms (axilla) are biochemically driven in terms of efficacy of the drug OR is it simply driven by contamination risks of applying the solution elsewhere. Thoughts anyone? I tried recently applying the gel to my forearms (ala Dr. Crisler) and felt like I actually had skipped a day of T. Perhaps it was psychosomatic.

I have been on Axiron for about 12 weeks now. So far so good, I feel 1000% better than I did prior. I started HCG 3 days ago as well.
I apply 4 pumps in my armpits. I would like to try applying it to other areas since I end up with some dried residue after applying the high dose.

I started at 60mg daily. About 2 weeks after I started I began to feel much better. 4 weeks in after BW I was increased to 90mg. About 4-5 weeks ago I was increased to 120mg. I am due for BW in a week or so.
I started HCG a few days ago after reading gdevine's sticky & a ton of other info about it. It has already began to help with the testicular atrophy & today I feel a little better, more energy ect.
Give it time, TRT is a slow process. With regular BW you & your doctor will get you dialed in & feeling great again.

My doctor always does BW every 4 weeks but the literature inside the Axiron box states that BW can be done as early as 4 weeks.
