Self IM Quad Injection (Best way?)

Been on Test cyp for a while now and have been pretty lucky as far as pinnings. My wife has been giving them to me in the gluteus… easy, no issues, no pain and I think my wife even enjoys it..lol.

Well the next time I am due, she is going to be out of town. I have picked up some 25 gauge 1 inch needles of the occasion.

Question is what is the best way to do it and what is be best location for the shot? Any links to videos that are good would be appreciated.

    Thanks Guys!

The quads are my favorite place to do it. Never had any pain there. Check spotinjections.com. they have everything you need

Self injecting is pretty easy for me. I survived on delts for an entire cycle because it is the easiest and least risk for hitting veins and arteries... Quads are now my fav and I never have an issue. Just inject really slow and you'll be fine. If your muscle twitches a lot when going in, remove, replace the tip and try again in a different spot. Injecting on or to close to a nerve is not to fun but you'll survive. Probably just limp like a pirate for 3 days if you do lol

I used 29g for quads and it was a LOT better for the quads for me. 25g was a lot less fun...

The upper, outer quadrant was best for me. If I went too low it would go past nerves and felt really weird and made me uncomfortable really... I preferred delts more than quads actually, but the quads was a good area.

Nonetheless, I've since switched to subQ and its a breeze... as of now, I see no reason to go back to intramuscular since bloodwork has shown that subQ is just as good for me.
