Cool Water retention or too much estrogen?

So my Endo started me on Androgel about a year ago or a little more. After about seven or eight months I noticed the bloated stomach which I'm assuming is probably water retention. My Endo has told me he doesn't think it is and I'm going to a GI specialist in a couple of days. So my question is this: To me it appears to be water retention but couldn't also be some that build up because of the estrogen? I should note also that he didn't put me on hCG or and aromatase inhibitor.

I also have a follow-up question. Is it easy for you guys to get in touch with your doctor? And is it easy to get in to get appointments? I mean with my guy he's very difficult to get a hold of and I usually have to wait a couple of months for appointments. Thanks so much for any responses.

Very well could be E related. Only way to tell is BW to include a sensitive estrogen assay. Take a look at the Finding a Doc Sticky thread at the top of this forum as it has BW examples in it.

Yes to my doc. I have his personal email. Most though seem to take forever. Unfortunate. When some of these doc's get the the age or point when they will need TRT maybe they will change their thought process just a bit!

I am no expert but from my understanding estrogen causes water retention. However, the water retention isn't just in the stomach. It's a full body bloat. If just your stomach is bloated then I would rule out water retention.
Did this bloating start after you increased your dose from 2 pumps to 3 pumps? If so, it could easily be that you have just been eating more. Testosterone increases appetite.
As for an AI... Many believe that an AI should be avoided. If one needs an AI while on TRT it is a sign that either too much testosterone is being used or one has excessive bodyfat.

The bloating started about eight months or so on three pumps of androgel . I've only been on four pumps now for five days.

To me, it's definitely not fat as I work out constantly and have gone from 164 to 159 because I changed my diet thinking it might help. unless somehow the body is converting something tonfat fat and making a bloated tummy. Im bery awar of my diet and how much I eat, etc. When I press on the abdomen and push it in while sitting it just kind of bounces . It's different than anything I've experienced before. There is a little constipation w it.

Defiantly sounds like water/bloat. Are you taking any type of AI? How is your water intake? More water in means more water out. Also low sodium helps so cut back on the salt.

I am not taking any kind if AI. Should I be? I see for the Next Quest lab slip the Endo is asking for an "Estradiol" test (E2). If I pit "sensitivity assay" after the doc's checkmark for estradiol, will Qiest do one and will I get in trouble w the doc?

Isee a GI doc tomorrow about the bloat so hopefully get some resolution. My Endo thinks its just tummy fat. No, it ain't unless its from estrogen production I think...

Men who use a daily transdermal rarely have E2 issues but you can never rule it out; only BW will tell you the truth

You are HPTA suppressed and should be using HCG to keep your testicles functioning.

Dr. Crisler likes his guys to use just 100 iu's of HCG daily when using a transdermal.

Read the HCG sticky if you haven't.

Yes , yes , yes...Your BW will tell you ur E2 and some doc want to skip it so insist. I think , like me water bloat is not precise stomach bloat and check GI. I don't think the transdermal will boost ur E too much it's not that strong. Again BW, then GI. Afew months is way too long. BS on that find a doc that you can see within 2 weeks. ...crazy mike
