Use doctor or LabCorp and what tests to get

    Hi,
I was having problems with fatigue and doctor ran various metabolic panels and all were normal. Total test was 349 (50 years old and good physical shape other than fatigue). Desperate I asked for TRT and was put on Androgel (two months) and then for the last four months I’ve been on compounded cream at 50 mg test per day.

I am still having issues and would like to get tested again, but no longer have insurance. Its $600 if I go the doctor route ($200 for apt and $400 for lab test) Would it be more cost effective go with LabCorp and post results here? If so what specific tests or panel would be a good start?

    Thanks!

Welcome Frank. Take a look at the Finding a Doc sticky thread at the top of this forum. Examples of proper blood work are in it. When it comes to cost you can check with various labs as well. Many guys here in your shoes or for other reasons have used privatemedlabs.com for their blood work. You can find discount coupons on line as well. Also check lef.com for some of their hormone panels.

If you have BW available post it up with ranges so we can take a look and help guide you. Many guys here are very good at interpreting BW results.

Also remember to look at the new LowTestosterone.com. The add is up above us and they will be opening extremely soon in various locations. Check it out!

If you google for online labs that will do your tests. Not sure if I can post a link without breaking rules though.

I am on the private med labs website trying to make sense of this confusing mess. Am I supposed to order like 15 tests a la carte? I do not see a panel that includes the items from the sticky.

    Thanks

I am thinking of getting this one

It seems to get the majority of things people say to get.

Ctenosaura is the serum testosterone enough of an indicator or do you have to have the free test as well? What I'm trying to accomplish is see if the therapy I've been on for six months is having any effect.

    Thank you,

P.S. I like your Iron Cross and Iguana?
