An introduction, and a few questions about Test and Estradiol

Sorry I didn't give a proper intro in my first few posts. I am a 42 year old who has been on TRT for the past 2 years, after battling low T and being totally frustrated. I play soccer against college-age players, so my training is pretty intense in order to keep up with them.

I have a Doc who isn't as versed in TRT as many people on the forum, but at least he's willing to give me Cyp, Test cream and Arimidex .

I had my last BW done in November, up till then, I was using 100 mg Test cream per day, 100 mg Cyp twice per week and .50 mg of Arimidex three times per week-

    Test Total- 865 (250-1100)
    Test Free- 235.3 (35-155)
Estrogens, Total- <50 (130 or less)
    Estradiol- 37 (<or =39)

DHT wasn't taken, but I know its high because I'm getting pimples on my back, thinning hair in front and hair is growing in places I never had hair before like my traps and upper back)

I have stopped the Test cream all together, an am doing 100 mg of Cyp every 3 days, as well as .25 Arimidex every 3 days. I also threw some Saw Palmetto into the mix. I am hoping that lowers my DHT and ends the symptoms. Does this make sense ??

My other question is in regards to Estradiol. Looking thru my old bloodwork, the levels have always been in the high normal range. I am concerned now because I was doing plenty of Arimidex before and had my Total estrogen drop to the basement while my Estradiol level stayed in the same range. Should this be a concern, and what should I do about it ??

Where was that estradiol test done? I'm unfamiliar with a <=39 range, although I know Quest ultrasensitive is <=29.

From the looks of it, it really looks like you're taking too much T. Cutting it down is probably good overall. I would even say that 100mg every 3 days is still too much.

Your DHT will naturally come back down since you cut out the transdermal. Transdermals are quite potent at raising DHT. But will this cause your pimple and hairloss worries to go away? I would suspect it will help with the hair, but not necessarily eliminate it. As for the pimples, that might only be in part, perhaps small, due to the DHT. It's sort of a given that on TRT you're going to get a little more acne.

The best option I can think of to reduce acne would be to lower the T even further. Good skin care is kind of a given, but even with that in place, acne isn't necessarily cured.

    Thanks for the feedback

My Estradiol test, as well as all my BW was done at Quest. As far as the acne situation, I never really had any through the first year and a half of TRT, but surprise surprise, it came when my Test dose was increased.

HRT is on target as usual. Transdermals will definitely spike DHT levels but keep in mind DHT is not a bad thing. It's just individual metabolism dependant, meaning we all respond differently to it. Getting off the TD is the best step as there really is no need to do both. You are also at the high end of TRT at 200mg per week. Agree with HRT to cut back your dose and I'll add that you should be on HCG as well.

The addition of HCG (read the sticky) will help in many ways and will also allow you to drop your test dose. More is not better here. Better is better. Numbers count a little but it's more about how you feel and your long term health. Also consider taking your .25mg AI 24hrs after injection to help time the peak of both your T and AI. You can mitigate how much you use with proper dose timing.

Thanks Kel !! Now I have 2 questions regarding HCG. First, where can I legally get it (website address ?) and secondly where can I get the the pins to use it ? I Don't know if you need a script to buy them at a pharmacy or not

Your doc should be the person writing it for you. It's on package inserts for Hypogonadic Hypogonadism. If not there are peptide warehouses you can search up to locate it. The second part is available at the site sponsor or a simple google search.

You can easily pickup insulin pins at Walgreens, Rite-Aid, places like that. As Kel mentioned, there's a few good RC's online that have legit HCG .
