I need to keep going to that gym...it is like my sanctuary.. thanks GGR.!.. we can tell you work hard and hard a good trainer not easy gettin em legs! good job and good job on the $100 prize! hard work i know

one of my dr's helped with the sub q injection today.. but we didnt have an easy time getting the "correct " amount in that 1cc syringe.. it was quite sloppy .. i went and ask the pharmacist about the 1/2 cc figure i would get brave.. really i am feeling desperate.. i think those "large doses of T" i have been taking over the past few weeks are catching up with me.. i am gaining weight despite changing food : ( and i have bad road rage..not typical for me : ( ugg how long before i get back to sort of normal but with the little extra T energy boost/edge? ) so the pharmcy said.. that the 1/2 cc syringes are measured in IU's not ML.. and that there is no conversion.. so wondering what the heck i do? i am about to look on line to see about the "conversion ..' there must be a way! or mabye i just go back to a low dose compounded gel.. ?

so the dr today said.. 0h there you go somewhere btwn 5 and 10mgs.. eee gads. this is not her specialty! i see her for other things but happend to have my vial and asked her.. she said "most people do it IM" i said i wanted to try sub q.. so she did..

thanks all for your encouragment and support! this is a big challnage for me.. i want to get well enough to travel back home to see my family. soon i hope!
    thanks

On the insulin pins, the 1/2 cc will measure in units of 5, 10, 15, ... up to 50. 50 will = 1/2cc. Presuming your medication is 200mg/ml, then first figure out what the desired dosage will be. If it were 10mg of testosterone , then you would just draw the syringe to 5. 8mg would be at 4 on the syringe, or the line just right below 5 units.

Your testosterone serum level will decline steadily over the next few weeks if you are on the new, lower dosage. Your serum level will stable out within 3 weeks, but your doctor will also need to review your hormonal levels; both upstream and downstream, to ensure you can find balance.

Stay patient with the subcutaneous injections. After awhile, you will wonder why you didn't do it this way from day 1!

Hi Bengal! thanks for your support and good directions on dosing! did you ever do IM ? i am curious becasue it seemed like that subQ shot hit me really fast yesterday... maybe it was just me.. it seemed strong too although a lower dose than what i had been doing with IM. i got greasy skin in just a few hours after the shot-

i am curious what you all think about bio ident t? is it worth trying? also heard there are sublingual drops available through compounding pharmcy.. supposed to be not as expenisve as compounded gels or creams and easy to get smaller doses. but i suspect at this point i need to keep it simple and do the sub q's for a while ..

yes need to find a dr that can measure upstream and downstream hormones.. and that knows what they are doing- the dr i say ealier in the week seemed to be focused for PET for women as he called it Progestrone, estrogen, testo. since i cant tolerate progest.. i need another plan i guess- trying primrose oil.

i am glad i made it to the gym today! yay. and have energy to go to the grocery and make dinner! for me that is a good day!
    thanks for your support!

yes the testo is 200mg/ml i tried to get the .5 cc insulin syringes at cvs in orinda as i had to go there for another rx and they said i needed a dr's order in that county- i will try in oakland. just another question - my last injection was thursday sc and i am starting to feel worn down and grumpy again. .. i wonder if it is because i lowered the dose or maybe my body burns through it quickly? i am wondering if it might be worth a try to do smaller dose 2x a week? any thoughts? thank you

q, the moodiness could be a myriad of variables, and not just mutually exclusive to the change in testosterone levels . Yes, breaking your dose up into 2x per week will keep your serum level more stable. It would be just a small, small amount that you're dealing with during those treatments.

IMO, you need to probably dig deeper into the estrogens (E1, 2, & 3) to make sure that stays in balance with other hormones, as well as finding away to address the progesterone. There are different compounding creams that you can explore with a rhythmic cycle, which might give you a better reaction that your prior experience.

Also, the drug store you dealt with is a yo-yo! I've never heard of a county regulation, making them require scripts. Just simply go down the road to the next one and they should take care of you. In So Cal, they're readily available. Every now and then I get one at the counter that starts thinking they're the junkie enforcement, and starts asking questions, and it's a simple "Let me talk to your manager, and I'll just shop somewhere else". It won't take you long to get them, trust me on that one. You can also get them online readily.

thanks Vettester.. i called walgreens down the street and they said they can give the 1/2ml insulin pins no problem! just got to get dosing right.. i think some of the low energy is from fending off bugs.. but that is ok.. i feel much better than did 2 months ago. able to exercise almost everyday , grocery shope and prepare foods.. that was something i struggle on an energy level before.. big time.. glad to be able to take care of me !
i hope this dr i am seeing in sac will be able to help me with the E1, 2 and 3- he has been doing hormone therapy for years.. as far as the pg goes.. i have tried 2 types of cream and both make me bloat like crazy..

i am getting a small amount of water retention with the testo. . wondering if there is anything i can do about that?

thanks for your experience and help! i really appreciate everyone one here helping me out! thank you!

what have folks done when they get the polycythemia? i am not taking much T still working on getting the dose down.. my endo gave me smaller needles and instructions and we are going to try a 100mg/ml.. maybe it will be easier to see and for me to remember.. ( too many years on ambain) it feels like i am getting some polycy back.. i can' t just donate blood due to "health issues" i guess the next thing is to not panic- i have asked for a standing order for CBC.. and get labs and get a hematogolist on board? how do folks deal that can not donate?
    thank you.
ps- someone said once if i am still having my monhtly cycles i wont get polycythemia.. but i think that is not true.

no guy characteristics at this point.. i do have to say oddlly i wouldn't mind if my voice went a bit lower and sex drive were to increase.. that would be nice. and more muscles.

i did a tiny shot 8mg sub q today- my dr is giving me an rx for 100mg/ml tdepo and an order for sublingual drops.. wants me to migrate off the injections and over to sub drops-- we'll see what happens.

10 years ago i was taking alot larger dose injections and was getting some "male " charateristics.. but it all pretty much went away after i stopped.. got bad HDL and polycy and possible had TIA. it was kinda scary-

so the crappy part is larger doses really really help with my energy CFIDS and ablity to exercise.. i did 2.5 miles the other day- (not alot i know ) for me it was and i am was able to have energy to function.

    anyone try sublingual drops?
    thx
