    SoCal TRT Doctor

Just seeing if there's a TRT Doctor in SoCal that somebody would like to recommend. Would like to hear about your experiences with your TRT Doctor if you're willing to share. Looking in the Studio City, Burbank, Sherman Oaks, Encino (or around there)
    Thanks.

Cool, another SFV poster. I highly recommend Dr. Karlis Ullis. He is based out of Santa monica so it's a little farther out, but definitely worth it. I've been with him since December and he has been taking good care of me. Thorough, caring, and knows his stuff. He also takes insurance which is a big plus in my book.

An alternative is the BodyLogic MD in Encino. Travis Deuson is the guy who runs it and he seems like he knows his stuff. I was considering that route prior to seeing Dr. Ullis, but could not justify the price.

Thanks man, I'll look him up. What sort of a TRT protocol does he have you on? Are you familiar with Dr. Crisler's protocols that are talked about on these boards?

"Dr. Romeo B. Mariano MD is a physician-psychiatrist with a private practice based in Monterey, California."

He is very well respected and I readily recommend him, although I am not a patient.

Not sure where that locale is in relation to you.

If you're near Encino, Dr Mark Gordon would be your best choice although he's probably more expensive than Dr Ullis.

Right now I'm finishing up a clomid stimulation test so we'll see what he recommends as I'm younger, etc. He is familiar with the latest protocols and research.

Although I have no experience with anyone other than Dr. Ullis, I have also heard good things about Dr. Mariano and Dr. Gordon. Though as DanMan said, price is something to consider.

Dr Mariano takes insurance, I am almost certain about this. he often talks about treating low-income patients as an obstacle to his therapies.

Dr Mark Gordon, on the other hand, is touted as a dr to the "stars" at times... so I am unsure if he is strictly cash-only.

Dr. Mark Gordon does not accept insurance and his prices were crazy expensive.

Unfortunately I deleted my email correspondence and can not remember, but the initial consultation was $1800. Just all around it was pretty crazy priced and was going to be thousands per year not including scripts.

Sorry I can't be of further help,
    Dave

I got an email from his office and it looks like it starts at $2,700 and they give you the bill and you can try and submit to insurance.
