    Low vitamin D

Got my test results back today
my vitamin d level came in at 41
which is on the mild lowish side. So i might some vitamin d tabs and took 5 of them. at 1000iu a tab
also vitamin B12 level is 489 (150-700) so i bought some vitamin b12 injectable aswell

also my white blood cell count was elevated at 13.7(4.0-11) but the doc said that might have been due to sickkness or exercise beforehand or something etc
aswell as Neutrophils there at 9.6 (2.8-8.0) says there is a mild neutrophilia. What does that mean?

my iron levels are at 26(10-30)

You would be well to run additional iron panels. Ask your doctor to look into hemochromatosis and rule it out.

Like he said, the white blood cells might be elevated due to a transient infection. Keep it in mind in the future when getting labs, but on the surface I would take the doctors advice on what it might mean.

Many on this forum are/were low on vitamin D. A lot of us started at 5,000 IU twice per day then cut back to once per day when we had sufficient levels. Generally, we shot for the upper quartile range. Be sure to take vitamin D with food or you may get very little absorption. Follow up labs would be important to make sure you're getting enough, but not too much. Although I know of no toxicity levels, nobody would recommend going significantly over range.

Ok, i think its the vitamin D but it seems after i take it i start getting a sore throat, happened yesterday when i started and today, altho pretty sure it goes after a while! Are my iron levels high at 26(10-26) what does that mean? ill have to start giving blood if it goes any higher? Does this result in lerthagy? im still sorta lerthagic, altho with all these blood tests confirming stuff is ok idk wtf it could be? Im starting to think i might need to go to a sleeping centre to have my sleep tested, perhaps its not deep enough?

Run a ferritin lab first. That's a key lab for the hemochromatosis discussion. I don't see anything on your iron test throwing up the big red flag.

It's worth investigating IMO. Hemochromatosis is not that rare and often goes undiagnosed.
