Blood Results/Androgel

So I'm new to the board, last week my results came in after I went to Pcp because I knew something just wasn't right. Im 29 years old and I've been in the gym for 5 years. Recently gained 30 pounds and I lift 5 days a week do cardio 3 days a week and play basketball every Monday night. My libido was gone and I have a drop dead gorgeous wife but the desire just wasn't there.
And I found out why...
Test levels at 50 ng/dL FREE test 1.4 pg/ml.
Doc put me on Androgel 2 pumps once daily. It's been a week And a half and I haven't felt any better. Starting to get some morning wood But that's about it. Everything he found in my blood test is within normal range. I go back in 2 months to see where my levels are at. I'm not a big fan of the gel And would much rather get on an injectable. I scheduled an appointment with a local endocrinologist this morning. Can't get in for a few weeks. My goal is get injectable test with possibly hcg and arimedx or something similar. I'm scared of getting even bigger man boobs.
So I just wanted to touch base and share my story. I have yet to find anyone else with such low levels and I really think my doc is not too experienced in HRT. I'm also trying to get my wife pregnant and I've heard androgel will kill my sperm count yet he told me it would not since the testes need test. To produce sperm. Anyone with input Input be grateful to hear it! Thanks guys.

I think you need to find a doctor that will find the actual cause of these low levels. I would want to know why.

I do agree, have an appointment with endo in 2 weekS. As I mentioned, I had no other issues on blood test but there must be a reason my test was at 50. Being a healthy 29 year old. Im 6'3 220 20% bf. I'm educated and eat reasonably healthy.

How was your prolactin levels when you had your blood work done?

Two pumps of the Androgel 1.62% isn't a very high dose...you may need more given the really low levels you have. The gel will eventually shut you down. Also you probably need to give this some more time...2 weeks is just getting started. But yeah...you need a doctor that will try to figure out why your levels are so low, then treat accordingly.

Oh...also, if you read here much, some guys just don't absorb the gels very well. They tend to go the IM route pretty quickly.
