DHEA - possible side affects?
Is this bullshit? my wife read that the side affects of DHEA are:
acne, greasy skin, facial hair growth, hair loss, weight gain around the waist, a deepening of the voice and other signs of masculinization may occur in women. Men may develop aggressiveness, high blood pressure, male pattern baldness, breast enlargement (gynecomastia ), breast tenderness and shrinkage of the testicles.
I was telling her she may want to try a little DHEA, but am now having second thoughts. I personally still have tender nipples after 11 weeks on TRT and am curious if this could be due to the 50 mg of DHEA I'm taking daily. Thoughts?

Probably from the package insert of FDA warnings.
Do you honestly think something OTC and highly recommended by some the top most respected TRT physicians in the world could do so much harm that they'd recommend it???
Ever read about the dangers of a pain reliever like aspirin or worse Tylenol???
You'd never take these ever again if you read what they could do to you...but the reality is simple...from a statistical perspective you have a significantly better chance of getting hit by lightening first before seeing the dangers of these safe and effective drugs.
Your tender nips are because you're on TRT...it's common so as long as you have E2 management under control.
I'd be more concerned about E2 than adding in DHEA to help back fill your pathways...which by the way you should also add in Pregnenolone as well.
BTW, women need far less of both DHEA and Preg then men...like 5 mg of both per day where a man is more like 50 mg per day of both...keep that in mind when dosing.Last edited by steroid.com 1; 02-27-2013 at 12:24 AM.

I've heard of MRM mentioned a few times, I haven't bought any yet but I plan to.

I don't know what DHEA-T is.
Are you confusing it with DHT?
DHEA will have no effect on elevated DHT levels.

DHEA is far upstream from DHT and when supplemented in low doses it would be a rare occasion for DHT to elevate.

Right on, thanks G. Thats all I needed to hear.
I am taking micronized DHEA 50mg and Pregnenolone 50mg from MRM. Bodybuilding.com has both at a good price.
G, does it matter whether I take 50mg or 25mg? What is the determiner of what strength I should take? Or the age old question......"is more better"Last edited by ctenosaura; 02-27-2013 at 09:49 AM.

Take 50 mg of Pregnenolone in the am.
Take 25 mg of DHEA in the am and then again in the pm if you want to be anal about it. DHEA has a short half life so this will provide for a more stable serum level.
I just take both 50 mg in the am and done with it.
Your call...
