Question TRT not shuting down own production?

    Hey guys,

I am totally new on this forum. Healthy 25 guy, working out pretty regularly, no hormone issue for the moment (at least until I get my blood checked next week...), but deeply interested in TRT questions and knowledge. That's why I wanted to submit this question to youguys, hoping someone will give me a clue :

It is well-known that when you start supplementing hormones to your body, even whith a great deficiency to begin with (like no steroid level supplementation but regular TRT), your body will eventually shut down its own production whatever the dosage.
And that would be my worst fear if I ever had to begin TRT. I know it would still be preferable to go for TRT if it means improving your quality of life and having better hormones levels, but man, shutting down your body natural ability...

SO, HERE IS MY POINT :

Has anyone heard of a medicine/drug that would trick your brain into thinking your body is not receiving any external source of T? Like modifying your receptors, so that you get the benefits of external T + your own?

Thanks a lot for the input!

First off if you really have low testosterone at such a young age, your life should be hell and you should be ecstatic about starting therapy. Second why would you care about shutting down your natural production if it's already deficient. You sound like your thinking about doing a cycle of steroids as you didn't say anything about actually having low testosterone or any symptoms. If you had problems you sure as he'll would know it. If that's your true question you should just ask you won't get in trouble. Lastly If you ever had to stop hormone therapy, most will recover to their natural levels with a restart including Clomid, hcg , etc...

What redz said but HCG when co-administered with TRT will keep your testes functioning properly making a re-start much easier.

Read the stickies noted as IMPORTANT at the top of the forum; you will find much there to help you learn.

    Isn't this what hCG does?

Gd, when you take hCG alone (no T or other drugs) it boosts Test production, right?

When you take it in concert with exogenous T does it not also keep your balls functioning, and in doing so, maintain *some* natural Test production still? In the sticky it says "LH reaches the receptors on the Leydig cells within the testicles telling them to do their thing among which is the production of Sperm, Testosterone and Pregnenolone among other things". Isn't the hCG doing the same thing, acting as an analog for the real LH, and therefore keeping up *some* production of "Sperm, Testosterone and Pregnenolone"?

Or do I have this all wrong?

If I have it right, then what the OP is looking for does exist, and it is hCG.

HCG doesn't trick your brain into thinking there is no exogenous testosterone , it just mimics the effect that LH would send. It is not the same as LH, but it does activate those receptors. This, however, is very far from truly negating the suppressive effects of exogenous testosterone. It works though in a practical sense, namely for stimulating the testes to continue spermatogenesis.

Ok, I just want to make sure I understand this correctly. Without splitting hairs:

Taking hCG while on exogenous testosterone *will* cause some testosterone production from the testicles, right?

I thought the same as well. It's what I have always heard, hcg still keeps balls functioning and still helps maintain some natural test production while on trt or aas, which in turn keeps you from your body going in shutdown of all natural test production.also Causing a slight boost in test levels
