ultrasonic energy has two potential physiological effects: it enhances inflammatory response; and it can heat soft tissue. Ultrasound energy produces a mechanical pressure wave through soft tissue. This pressure wave may cause microscopic bubbles in living tissues and distortion of the cell membrane, influencing ion fluxes and intracellular activity. When ultrasound enters the body, it causes molecular friction and heats the tissues slightly. This effect is typically very minor as normal tissue perfusion dissipates most of the heat, but with high intensity, it can also cause small pockets of gas in body fluids or tissues to expand and contract/collapse in a phenomenon called cavitation;

I think you were the one who posted the other day about wanting an endo?...

Either way, in that post I talked about weighing the pro's and con's. Only you and your doctor can do that, but do understand their are positives and negatives to each side of the situation. Your personal situation and judgment with your doctor are what will determine this...

yeah i was but what does an endo have to with an ultrasound? my endo appt is on may lol. I cancelled the ultrasound, ill just have the endo feel me up lol

tbh i dont think my prob is low testosterone , igot some old labs and besides the 277 lab at 19, all my labs have been 470-535(this was my peak) pretty low for 19-21 but nothing crazy. im 23 now though, so i will see what im at.

My main concern with getting the ultrasound is that I'm a weightlifter, and as it is, i've always struggled to get stronger due to my shitty testosterone levels . If the ultrasound has an effect on sperm, who knows if it has an effect on other things such as testosterone What if it lowers my testosterone?
Right now, i dont have a trt doc, and i doubt i will ever get one because im 23 and in the normal range..so noone wants to help me..so if my testosterone goes even lower im ****ed.

also the pcp(who was clueless) said nothing was in my balls...so that's why im reluctant to do it...but i honestly feel things so idk...

Personally I think you worry to much. Only negative effect an ultra sound will have is if they let it sit in one area to long and it warms things up to much by doing the bubble trick you described above. That's why they keep it moving continually or only stop for a second.

I have had most every part of my body ultra sounded at one point or another. I even have my own portable unit like they use for PT. Jet get it done, it's the only way to see if you have specific problems such as thickening of the walls for liver, kidneys, kidney stones and other fun stuff.

well. my endo appt is on may 1 so i am debating if i should hve her feel me down there instead of the ultrasound....im not on trt so if i get damaged testicles im screwed lol.

I don't think you tried that antiaging/HCG diet doc yet plus you could check with the owner's biz at 1-800-LOWT-345 and see if they can help you....I don't know what their age parameters are or if you have to have a low enough T before they will touch you....ask them.

yeah trust me i plan on going to the anti aging doc!! i just want to try the endo first since i have an appt there. If i go to the anti aging doc i have to change him to my primary, and that would make things awkward when i pick up the endo refferral from my current pcp(the clueless one)
lowtestosterone is an option if these things dont pan out.

The pcp said that there was nothing there, but i just felt them again and i definitely feel something, so im thinking of making the appt this week....im just very nervous it will totally destroy my testosterone ...I really want to get this done, but like i said im nervous about the consequences on my testicular function..and testosterone levels ...I already have low levels, and im just concerned ill never make gains in the gym again if ihave this done....or turn feminine.

Any advice would be appreciated, I am seriously torn on what to do here.

haha alright ill try to go through with it..insurance said refferal is good until sep 8th so i can make an appt this wk. my dad is going in the room with me lol....it'll be weird but i feel better that way.

What if? what if? OK what if you actually have a tumor and you decide NOT to do a ultrasound because you are afraid it MIGHT lower your natural T but then later on you have to have your nuts removed due to ignoring the tumor?

What if you get in a accident on the way to the doctors office to get the ultrasound? Maybe you had better stay in your house where it's safe. Ohhh, what if a meteor hits your house? You would have been OK if you had gone to the doctor to get the ultrasound that's finds the tumor and saves your life.

How is your dad being in the room going to help? Are you afraid your doctor is going to fondle your balls? lol I'm seeing a pattern here of paranoia... You know they do make medication (Xanax) for that. You could also grow a real set of balls and just go do what is needed to be done. Just sayn,
