Negative effects of using an AI during TRT?
Hello,
I just have a question regarding using an AI (like arimidex or aromasin ) during standard TRT. I've heard a lot of talk about how AIs have negative effects on lipid profiles, like people's cholesterol and blood pressure levels going up pretty high. Basically just negative cardiovascular effects. I was wondering what you guys think about this problem, and if a perfect diet, etc would help counter this problem. Keep in mind I am only 20 years old so I would think that helps.
Thanks

Some people don't even need a AI while on TRT. Only your blood work will show if you need it.

Hi Leon, are you on TRT by doctors orders, or are you self diagnosing/treating?

I have not yet started it, but my blood work came back with very low normal tesosterone (246 on a range from 230-1000). I was going to post the results in a new thread later when i get the full results finally emailed to me. I am assuming I will have to, so I was just doing a bunch of research before my follow up appointment.

Well if you havent started yet, yes... it would great to get full blood work, but that will not indicate if you need an AI until you get more bloodwork after administration for a while. Some docs will put you on an AI regardless.

At the low doses men use of an AI compared to a women as a estrogen suppresent it should pose no problem but keep in mind we're all different.

I've been taking .5 mg weekly about 4 months. Get blood pressure and pulse checked weekly and cholesterol every month. No increases at all.
