Running out of testosterone before refill time?

I am new to TRT and this is my initial prescription.

I have been doing .4 ml, twice a week since 13 February. That means that I should have used 4 ml, and still have 6 ml left. In actuality, I only have 1.8 ml remaining, and I have 6 more injections to go before I can refill. I am very confused about how this could have happened.

I have 2 questions that I hope you guys can answer:

    1. Is there something I could be doing wrong with my syringe filling technique? I fill the syringe to exactly 4 tick marks, which is 1 tick below the 1/2 ml mark.

    2. Since I am going to be short some testosterone , should I inject every 7 days instead of every 3.5 days to stay constant at a lower level, or is it better to run out completely for about a week? I don't want to drop all the way back down to where I started, and waste these past 2 months of injecting.

    Thank you

Why not go talk to your doc or at least the receptionist and tell your story and maybe they will help you figure out the problem and help you get more...it's best for you to keep a smooth, steady routine going.

    Hey bert,

I would stick to injecting every 3.5 days. It's not uncommon to finish your vial early. But it certainly shouldn't be more than half the vial gone. Even with a little waste here and there, you should still have more left. Have you contacted your pharmacy/doc ?

How many mg per ML is your vial?

I have contacted the online clinic that I used, and was told that I cannot re-order until the 14th of April. They offered no ideas on how to proceed until then. Yes, I know it is a crappy online clinic that is way overpriced, and I never should have used them, but I didn't know any better. I will be joining the sponsor clinic soon, but I work outside the country and won't be home to be seen by their doctors until after I run out.

The clinic told me that the vial was 10ml, but I don't see how that is possible.

It is 100mg/ml. They prescribed 1ml per week, but I always took less.

I'd just find some more to get me by and if I couldn't I'd probably divide up what I have left and just take less per week.

I don't know where to get it, and it is against the rules to ask. I don't have enough posts to PM and I don't want to just pick a place online. That is what I did with the clinic I am using now, and that was a $1300 mistake for a 10 week program, where I didn't even get to speak to a doctor.

If I were to miss a whole week of injections, would that drop my T numbers all the way back to where I started? Would I be starting from zero on the clock when it comes to symptom relief?

Divide up what you have left and take a lower dosage i suppose. April 14th isn`t that far away and irts not that big a deal. You should definitrly grt with the site sponsor asap. Its not like when you resume your proper dose its going to take two nonths too feel good again.

Just go to .6mL every 7 days. 60mg per week is better than nothing...some are taking that dose.

    Will do that. Thanks.

I have been in contact with the sponsor (Justin) and will get started with them ASAP. Tried hard to get set up before I left for work, but their credit card processing system was down. It is difficult because I am in Africa every other month. I will be home at about the same time I run out. If I can set up the appointment quickly, I will be set, but if not I will have to give the crappy online place another $800. I wish I had found this forum earlier.

I wouldn't blow the $800, there are guys only getting one injection every 3 weeks...you'll be fine.

    Sounds like an interesting job.

Part of the problem is you're doing too much each time, although that doesn't explains some of what is missing. Let me explain. Assuming you're not using an insulin syringe, the head of the syringe holds at least 0.1ml. When u fill up to the 0.4ml mark and the whole syringe is full, you r really injecting 0.5ml.

Next time, fill the syringe to 0.3ml (or 0.1ml below how much you want). Then remove needle from vial. Hold syringe with needle up and pull back on plunger until the meniscus (the top of the fluid column) is at the first line from the top. Then it is wherever the plunger is located that tells you how much is in the syringe. Change needles (to now inject) and depress the plunger so there is no air left (some ppl leave only a tiny air bubble in order to get out the last few drops - that's your call). Then inject.

Yes, it is a fun job. I work as a production trainer teaching Angolans nationals how to safely operate a liquefied natural gas plant. I am in my 3rd year here, and I really like it. The only bad part is that I always seem to be here, when I need to be at home.

Thanks for all of the advice. I won't spend the $800. I will wait until I can get set up with the sponsor. It seems like such a good program, at a reasonable cost.

I never thought of what was left in the needle. I draw with an 18 gauge needle, so there must be a lot of waste. I will use your method for all future injections. It seems like the clinic rep would have mentioned this. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for.

    Thanks

But it's not just the hub of the needle, that's actually a very small amount. It's what's in the top of the syringe. You'll see what i mean next time u inject

In some countries you can walk into a pharmacy and just buy test without a script OTC.

You sure your vial is 100ml/ml and not the normal 200ml/ml?

I went to several of the pharmacias, and there is not a drop of testosterone to be found. Calling where I am 3rd world would be at least 1 world too nice. They still crap on the ground here.

Clomid is plentiful, but I don't need any of that. I did pick up 4 boxes (32 pills) of Viagra for $10, so that was nice.

So you should be injecting .25ml (50mg) every 3.5 days. You been taking 160mg a week which is why your almost out.

Drop dose now and you should be good till your new script is ready.

Thanks Dave. They told me to take 1 ml per week, so I was doing what I thought was .4 ml, twice per week. I will drop the dose immediately. Thanks again.

Can't access it here. Gets blocked by the company firewall. It is strange what it catches. It will let me on this forum, but will not allow me to access the sponsor TRT site.

Was the bottle only 5ml? My Test E came in 5ml. I would cut the dose in half and stay 2x's a week.

Most people start at 100mg (.5ml) per week and adjust from here after getting blood work in 6-8 weeks. If blood work shows low test levels then, you should up it like 20mg till dialed in. At that point your Dr would know you need more and write script to accommodate.

It was about the US busting a guy in South Africa for selling/distributing UGL steroids .

Yes, I wish I was in contact with a doctor that told me these things. Crappy clinic just sells really expensive stuff after really expensive lab work. Hoping that LowTestosterone.com will set me right.
