DHEA micronized ?
Can anyone recommend a DHEA supplement? I've noticed there is an array to choose from. Preferences?

I was going to buy some off amazon. Made by Mrm. Said micronized and HPLC tested for potency. Only $11 for 90 50 mg tabs

Micronized MRM and LEF have been confirmed to work via blood labs. I have used both but currently use LEF.

$9 isn't a bad price but knowing something works
With confirmed BW would be worth the price regardless.
Thanks Mopar and Dave!

^^^^A bit pricey, but below compounding costs, and they are 100% Pharmacy Grade, Ultra Micronized and SR...worth it in my book when it comes to my HRT meds.

I used MRM micronized DHEA and had blood work to show it was potent. 25mg more than doubled my levels (have a thread on it)... can't say I noticed an effect though lol.
It's very cheap. They also test SOME of their batches, but not all. I look for some degree of quality control in OTC supps.

MRM may have failed miserably for me. (Still investigating). Recent bloodwork does not look good at all.

I plan on running the LEF 25mgs then will check on dhea levels after 6 weeks and will look into the more expensive supps that you guys have mentioned above.
I'm hoping to get some energy and a more enhanced libido from the dhea. I know it's not a miracle pill but as I've stated in my new protocol thread, I'm just not feeling like I should be. I'm six weeks in on TRT and I still have NO sex drive what so ever, stay fatigued and look for nap by lunch every single day. I am experiencing some great gains in the gym but not getting my BF down to 15 from 25 like I want.
Honestly I just assumed I would feel like a new person by this stage in my treatment. My 6wk BW was taken yesterday so results will be in Monday for estrogen, t levels, blood cell count. I have an appointment with my primary care dr. Next week who takes insurance unlike my TRT specialist, he had me on androgel but isn't up to date on TRT so I will get a full panel BW check that will only cost me $20.
Just really wana know why my sex drive and libido is trashed. I will be 30 in a few days and I know I should feel much better than I do now.
Thank you all for your input regarding DHEA options.

VTX 6 weeks is nothing...took me 3 months before I even started to see and feel results.
You need to have reasonable expectations.
See the sticky on how long things take.
Did you get cortisol, prolactin, DHT and progesterone tested as well?

I know my body is still adjusting, and I know I have a LONG way to go. I guess I just read so many hyped up success stories of guys who discovered a major transformation just in how they feel 6 weeks into it. I have read the sticky on how long TRT takes, I'm just a little frustrated but there is still hope!
As for cortisol, prolactin, dht and progesterone... I WILL have those tested next week when I so BW for my PCP. I can get insurance to handle the majority of BW and just have to pay $20 copay. My TRT doctor only wanted to check estradiol, test, free test overall test, and CDC. ??? I know, Im not sure why either and she wants to see me again in 6 months. I guess I didn't argue the BW because I knew I would be having blood drawn the next week and it would be cheaper. Had to pay $173 for BW and office visit at the TRT/anti aging dr. They won't take insurance.
She has me on clomid and hcg , I can't believe she wouldn't wnt to run test to see how that's doing. GD, what test do I need to run to check and make sure hcg and clomid are working? LH FSH?

Hmmmm I was thinking 100 mg based on the sticky on Hcg . It said men should take 75-100 mg for >200 lbs. I'm 270.
I already have high E from the trt. Ankles swell up like a sonofabitch. I don't need more!!

Thanks for the heads up. I just googles it and sure enough it said DHEA can raise test AND estrogen. Dagnabbit. Not something I need.
I jst cancelled my order.
I read that 7 Keto DHEA has no androgenic effects. Maybe I need that instead.

For me, I'm already taking anastrozole .5mg twice a week so Im not super conserved about elevated estrogen. If I had my TRT dialed in and did not need an AI the. I doubt I'd mess with dhea unless my BW was just super low. I'm looking forward to adding it to my regime. Lol hope I benefit from it and just don't load up on the negative side effects which that's usually how things go for me.

I'm taking 1mg of anastrazole twice a week and still swelling up. Although my timing was out of whack. I might try 3 x a week

Your taking quite a bit if AI, and still swelling? That's odd, what was your e2 and when was the last time it was checked? My doc prescribed me .5 mwf but my BW showed my e2 at 13 and that's when I was on androgel so I decided to back off and only take twice a week, day after injection. I'm hoping I just don't turn estrogen. We shall see!

My E2 hasn't been checked since I started trt. But my estradiol (regular test not the sensitive) was 28 before I started. I'll request another test to see where I'm at.
