1st Post, could use some advice!

Hi guys, been reading this forum for a while and find it very informative. anyway, I've been on TRT for about 4 1/2 years now.Started with Androgel which didn't work so well so my local Urologist had me using it twice a day. He didn't do a lot of follow up work and I was feeling better so I just stayed on it for a while. Since it didn't work so well I decided to go to a new doctor in Pittsburgh who tried a compounded cream and later HCG , my total T tanked to 250. He was the first doctor who ran all blood tests and explained everything in detail to me, I really liked him and think he would have fixed me up but he is no longer available. So I went to another local doctor, nice Guy and listens to me but things aren't working so well. started me on Cyp every 2 weeks, felt like crap during the 2nd week. He let me take it every week and was feeling better, not so much lately. I get labs right before injection, they all look good except he doesn't check for estrogen. I asked for it last time and it was total estrogen which came in within range. I was at my PCP for routine and aksed him to check my estradiol, he doesn't deal with this and went along with me, it came back at a high 62, 3 days after injection. I should add i am dosing 150 of Cyp once a week. Anyway, i called and talked to my TRT doc and talked to his nurse, he wasn't there at this time and asked about Arimidex . Again, very nice and listened and she would talk to him but at this time he has never prescribed it for anyone. So anyway, I live in NW, PA and was wondering if anyone can recommend a doc in this area or as far away as Pittsburgh or even Cleveland, Ohio? Just want to get this all squared away!
    Thanks!!

    Welcome rem!

I'm not sure why any doc would turn down and E2 panel. Especially a TRT patient. It's probably in your best interest to find another doc as you mentioned.

Do you have a copy of your blood work that you can post here for review? Any recent Thyroid panels?

In my experience, docs not checking e2 is very common. Some just don't get it. Mine got all flustered when I brought it up. He regularly checks everything else. So, for a few bucks, I just go to labcorp.

austinite...what happened to the bloody avi?

    Thanks for the replies!Labs were:
    SHBG 25
    Total test 828
    Free Test 147.1
    Bio Available Test 340.9
Estrogen Total 84 referance is 130 or less
These were taken just prior to weekly injection
PCP did bloodwork 3 days after injection, said thyroid tests are OK, don't have numbers,
Estradiol was 62 which is high
Also, I'm not sure when estradiol should be tested during the week.
    Thanks for any help!

Are you self injecting? You should split your dosage into two injections a week to keep aromatization down. A trough test of 828 injecting once a week is probably putting you above lab ranges, makes sense to why your estrogen is high. You could lower your dosage to 100 a week, retest in 4-6 weeks and you might night even need an AI.
