No BS Assessment
I am beginning the process of starting a TRT protocol and I'm looking for some no real honest feedback. I know this may be difficult given the nature of the site but I need to know what I'm getting into before I start.
You see, I've dealt with clinical depression and anxiety for a long time and have run the gamet of psychotropic medications trying to deal with it. Im stable now on and have been for quite some time but stable and functional doesn't necessarily equate to happy. I've never had blood work done for hormones but, after reading people's stories on here, I won't be surprised if I am truly dealing with a hormone imbalance. After thinking back to my youth, I realize that I could have seriously screwed up my body. In fact, the worst bout of depression and anxiety I had followed a period of excessive pro-hormone use a long time ago.
But, before I jump into this, I do need some feedback, positives and negatives. I have had some very bad experiences with psychotropic medications and am always hesitant try any new form of medical treatment.

I don't know what to tell you; you simply need blood work done so a hormonal assessment can be made.
Read Kel's sticky at the top of the forum on Finding a TRT Doctor, you will see the labs you need.
There have been men who had forms of depression among other symptoms that were related to imbalances in hormonal pathways but without blood work it's all conjecture.
When you get them post them here in this thread and your clinical diagnosis and we'll jump in to help you.

Thanks for telling us about your situation. Those PH's can wreck havoc on your HPTA, and I'm banking you shut yourself down good when you did them. If no PCT was administered, and no follow up labs, good chance that's a major culprit to your situation. Additionally, the imbalance is probably off both upstream and downstream, so there's an endless array of variables that will be off kilter in your well being.
As GD stated, we will need BW to really know the facts. It all starts with the labs ... Thereafter, we can provide some thoughts and assessments on your program.

Sex hormones are just one piece of the puzzle. Many experts would argue they aren't even in the top of importance either when it comes to most men's problems!
Getting your test and e2 at good levels is a good thing, but it is far, far from the cure all many people believe it might be for them.
