The New Normal
Ok guys
We all hear about the "normal" total test range. Some say between 300 and 900, I hear others say the high side is 1200
I wanna know what level you feel the best at, and how many mgs a week it takes to keep you there.........
Lets face it, we are all different, and what works for me doesn't work for you........
I'll start
200mgs ew keeps my total levels around 1200 to 1400 I feel great at these levels, and my Doc is fine with it as long as my PSA and E2 stay in check
He never shares that info with me, just, everything looks good, and ask me how I feel.
Thanks guys

My labs from Quest Diagnostics show a range of 250 to 1100. My levels are steady in the 700's and I'm happy with that. 50mg twice weekly.

I'd comment, but I just started on TRT, and haven't gotten my first round of BW yet. Give me a couple weeks. I do feel a bit better though that's for sure. Stronger, better mood, better sleep, libido, etc. I'd be interested to see where others are at too. Regardless of my BW, I'm going to request shots though... I have 2 young kids at home, and I am constantly worried about transference (I'm on gel).

I started TRT on 3/13/13. I am scheduled to have my BW pulled on 4/25/13 so I will post my lab results once received.
Since I've started TRT I feel strong as a bull with lots of energy, strong wood and high libido.
I am currently doing:
60mg Test C 2x week, IM - Monday am, Thursday pm

I'm still trying to get dialed in. 60mg twice a week only got me in the 500s and in the bottom quartile for free T. Labs pulled three and a half days after injection. Doing 160mg/week now and will see where that gets me.

you should make a table of what dosages get these guys into the 900-1200 range like the other member did on subq vs im injections

Levels will vary depending on when the BW was done relative to the last injection.
FWIW I'm 100 mg every Friday injects. My levels midweek the following week are 775 - 800. My mood is much more stable vs before, I'm a bit stronger in the gym. I'm contemplating trying to bump the levels up a couple hundred points in the coming months.

Was on t-cyp, 50mgs 2x/ week. T levels 7 days out from last shot was at 773. Unfortunately my wanting to get e levels checked, my primary doc threw up his hands, and referred me to an endo. New guy in turn told me to quit cold turkey and retest in 3-4 mos. So may 15th can't come soon enough. I already feel like crap, lost 12lbs, and my wife is getting miffed as well. I may not wait and self medicate my HRT/TRT .

Truthfully, gauging optimal testosterone levels is dependent on free and bio available testosterone . My total serum might be in the 700ng range, but my free is over 3%. So my actual test available for usage will be more than the guy with 1,000ng/dl total serum at 2%.
It's kind of strange, but two of us could have identical test serum scores, yet one of us has 30% to 50% more testosterone than the other guy. Just food for thought when looking at the BIG picture of what is and isn't optimal.

Ask yourself: Is it reasonable that everyone should or would feel the same at the same testosterone level?
I would assure you the common answer leads you to consider that what matters is not a point on a range, but how you feel and it is this point that is significant in your journey.

8 weeks 150mg once per week and felt and looked great. Test was at 1116- labcor
then
70mg twice per week and felt and looked like I wasn't even on TRT even though my T levels were 1017
now
Back to 150mg once per week for two weeks now and looking and feeling like I did during my first 8 weeks which is very good
