    Ai's while on trt

Ok so my buddy got some blood work done and he has low test(in the low 300). He's 31 years old. The doc has prescribed him 200 mg test c a week for at least 4 weeks. My question is does he need to be running hcg and a ai during this time and a proper pct. I just want to make sure everything is gtg for him so he will possibly cycle with me in the future.

You don't come off trt, there is no cycle it's for life. He should be on hcg from the start, 250iu 2-3x a week.

Ok. Ill have to check with him and have him ask his doctor. His wife is a nurse and I really don't feel like arguing with her cause I don't want her to know I use. But that's what I thought and figured at very least he would need hcg which I don't know why his doctor has not prescribed.

For these 4 weeks his test will increase. Then after the 4 weeks is up, what does he (or his dr) expect to happen? When introducing exogenous testosterone , the body will become HPTA suppressed meaning No more natural testosterone.
The HPTA is a biofeedback loop that regulates hormone production in the body by reading what the body considers as homeostatic levels. When exogenous testosterone is introduced the feedback loop reads the overload and signals the pitiuitary to cease production of certain hormones such as LH in an attempt to regain homeostasis.

Technically, testosterone shutdown by the HPTA is caused by excess testosterone. The HPTA can be compared to a thermostat. Excess heat causes the air conditioner to come on. When it returns to an acceptable temperature, the AC turns off.

As stated above, TRT is not a cycle... It's a life long commitment. You may wan to advise your buddy to seek further treatment from a Dr. Who is a little more knowledgable in TRT. If you were a good friend you would get on him to do ALOT of research on his own behalf. It's his life, his health and A 4 week "cycle" will do nothing for his test in the long run. 4 weeks would probably not even shut Down his system but he would prob. Have much lower overall testosterone after the initial 4 weeks. It sounds a little sketchy, double check his protocol and give us more info about the 4 week run. Maybe he is due back for BW after 4 wks and adjustments will be made accordingly.

I'd tell him to stop if he started already and get a second opinion. He needs to find the causative factor for his low T and attempt to correct it first and foremost. Not just jump on the TRT bandwagon. Find the root cause and go from there with a competent doc!

Thanks guys. I will let him know. He has not started yet. His wife wants to get blood work done one more time. Just looking out for his best interest and it seemed weird that the doc would not prescribe hcg along with it. I told him that it will not raise his natural levels but possibly shut him down even more.
