First Real post - Finally saw the MD.

    FINALLY SAW THE MD

Between some scheduling errors and terrible traffic accident due to a big rig mixing it up with a gasoline tanker and the entire freeway catching on fire, I finally was able to make it to the Low T doctor (forever forward in my cast of characters, MD). Nobody hurt in the fire!

MD shared the Labcorp results with me.

    • Total T – 110 (no wonder I feel like shit.)
      Free T – 5.2

Obviously, both of these are WAY WAY WAY too low. Lipids, electrolytes, proteins, PSA are all normal. Gosh, why am I a total slug with zero verve for life? Now we know. MD cut the script ONLY for Test. MD is giving me a “moderate dose”. Haven’t seen what that means yet. MD did say this is the lowest Total T level MD has ever seen in a fat but otherwise healthy male human. MD wants to go moderate because I am so low!??! This, I suppose, is a conservative approach. Better than to start high and overshoot the target range. MD has set a personal target of 500-799 total T. THAT seems quite reasonable. It is not my intent to be Jose Conseco. I just wanna be a man again.

That's a very reasonable range to strive for with regard to the T level.

How old are you though? Did she give you a thorough workup to find out why your T is actually low? Do you know if you are primary or secondary or even tertiary!?

    Do you have any questions?...

I'm stoopid. I am 50 years old. I had an accident 3 years ago that resulted in my testicular artery being cauterized. I am low!

Do you know if you are primary or secondary or even tertiary!?
I do not know what this means?

My mind is reeling with questions. But I am having trouble posting. Keep getting busted by the spam filer and don't know why.

OK so that last post worked.

MD is not giving me the HCG , perhaps because I am snipped. Is this an issue?

I need a man-sierre so I thought the estrogen killer was in order. But MD said one chemical at a time. That seems prudent. BUt sheesh, I wanna lose the moobs.

Your testicular injury and resulting low serum levels, combined with age related androgen deficiency, points to it being probably a combination of both Primary (testicle injury) and Secondary (natural suppression in HPTA).

Do you have your labs? If so, can you post them here in this thread complete with ranges so we can take a look and give you some feedback.

Do yourself a favor and read the stickies at the top of the forum; this is very important as you need to learn as you embark on this new journey.

    HUGE red flag...kid you not.

How much experience does this "MD" have in modulating and managing men's hormones?

    Think I am kidding?

Read the sticky at the top of the forum on Estradiol and Management...read the HCG Sticky as well.

If your "MD" didn't discuss any of these topics with you my guess is you're in untrained hands so be very very careful.

We've seen men around here get really hurt from untrained Physicians. This is a specialty and most if not all GP's don't understand TRT in men.

OK, now I am in a bad situation. I can't/won't say why publicly.

gdevine, I cannot PM you, perhaps you can PM me? I'd like to have a private chat with you about this.

I wont ask you for a source. I know the rules and intend to stay with physician care anyway. Just knowledge.

Post in the One on One section with staff if your PM isn't functioning yet. Was this one of the low t docs, or just another clinic?

I wanted to reply without hijacking this thread, but I too tried to contact you and a couple of the experts in this section about my bloodwork, but I can't e-mail/PM/view profiles it seems.

EDIT: Seems to be working with you, gdevine but none others now.
