    Air Travel With HCG

Has anyone taken their HCG with them on a trip, preloaded in the syringe, without a doc letter?

I have seen the topic a few times but any input on recent experience would be appreciated.

I would plan on placing loeaded syringe in freezer pre flight until I got to hotel to refrigerate.

I could also take one dose a day early and a day late to fit schedule to make things easier.

Between vitamins and powdered supplements that I am packing my odds of having my bag searched are extremely high haha.

    Cheers Guys.

If you're not going away for a month just do what you mentioned. Before you leave and when you get back. Not worth the hassle.

I have this little travel case I used before. It has places you can put a ice pack in the case to keep it cool I put it in my carry on bag.

I preloaded the syringe, because I didn't want to take a whole vial of hcg with me.

Anyway. You will have no problem going past TSA with a pre loaded syringe. Just make sure you have something or the box that the hcg comes in with you just in case. I travel all the time with my test and needles with my carry on bag and never been a problem. They are more worried about water bottles lol

Back to the hcg.... Well the the preloaded syringe didn't like the air pressure in the plane and it ended up squirting some of it out or the plunger may have been pushed somehow from people shoving their bags into the overhead compartment next to mine.

It wasn't worth the hassle in the end.

    That's my story.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I may end up taking it a day early and day late to avoid hassle.

I will probably get stopped anyways with all of the vitamins and supplements I have divided into plastic bags for daily use. A quick swab of the with their testing device shouldn't hold me up though.

I have to travel to Shanghai for close to a month. It is a 22 hour haul between flights. Would one of those insulin cooler pockets work? Has anyone here used one before? If so, I understand you activate them with water. How messy it is to store in a backpack?

Your HCG will be just fine at room temperature for a month. You can travel with HCG no refrigerated for 3-4 weeks. After that generally HCG will lose 10% every month. Of course HCG manufacturer will not tell you this.

Good to know. I figured HCG would be more fragile than that. It's still not worth traveling with it IMO & possibly having to explain whats in a pre-loaded syringe if found by the TSA. I had my bags searched 3 times last trip after the bags were checked in...

Lilly says that Axiron should not be X-rayed, so I had to give that to the TSA agent every trip to be checked and me bomb checked and patted down after the metal detector check. No other country cared and respected it a) had a prescription label on it and b) understood it was a medication. Go figure.

TSA's rules state as long as it has a prescription label on it or a letter from your doc, they had to respect it and let it through even if it wasn't to be X-rayed. For some reason the agents at the security checkpoints didn't seem to get that memo at Charlotte OR Newark OR O'Hare OR...

I agree about the prefilled syringes and TSA agents. I'll just fill them when I get in country.

I travel all the time (both domestically and internationally) and have yet to be stopped by TSA, customs, or foreign country equivalents.

I now usually pack all my medication, syringes, needles, etc. in ziplock bags, and then ask TSA to hand-check my luggage, as to not expose the medication through the x-ray. This is me probably being anally retentive, but I've yet to have TSA question me about testosterone , hCG , hMG, etc. Also, I never travel with pre-loaded syringes. First, they can easily "leak," or become compressed by accident. And second, there's no official identification for the TSA agent to confirm whether your trafficking drugs or simply carrying legitimate prescriptions.

Of course, everything should be labeled with (non-expired) prescription(s).

And so we agree on this 100%. I travel with my gear the same way . Always in prescribed containers, never preloaded, never any problems.

in the USA you are legally allowed to travel with prescribed medications... simple as that.

for extra precaution I always keep the prescription label as well which has my name and all that info on it.

as far as hcg, well, it needs to be kept cold so if I could not do that I'd probably just leave it at home. really, not much harm would be expected from missing a couple HCG shots...
