    Erection problems or normal?

Hi all, I've been reading these forums for a while and find this place a great source of info.

I was diagnosed low T some time back and am on a test injection protocol. I'm currently in my mid-thirties. During this time and probably before even the TRT, I've noticed that I don't get spontaneous erections like I did five years ago or so, and I need direct stimulation in the bedroom to get things up (and this can still sometimes take a few minutes). I need the direct stimulation when taking care of things on my own as well. I don't get erections from visual stimulation or even making out, etc., like I used to. I take 5mg Cialis daily which seems like it worked well at first but I'm not sure it is doing anything anymore.

I don't think I have libido issues as I do want sex and it is about the first thing I think of when I talk to an even remotely attractive woman. I also get erections at night and have easy morning wood.

I'm going to talk to my doctor the next time I see him, but I'm curious as to what I should expect and if I'm setting my erection expectations too high. After a few minutes of manual stimulation I'm usually good to go, but five years ago I'd still get random woods throughout the day.

Not an easy topic for me so I appreciate the input.

    Welcome LIM.

Any stress in your life right now? When and what was your last E2 result?

If the above is in order, you could research Dostinex which may help, and maybe add an alpha blocker along with that and cialis.

First and foremost; post your pre TRT blood work complete with ranges. If you have any post TRT blood work please post that as well complete with ranges.

You're in your mid 30's and on TRT; what was the clinical diagnosis for the reason for being put on TRT???

What is your current TRT protocol?

Tell us everything, and I mean everything, about yourself. Things like lifestyle, medical history, medications, diet, body composition, %BF, stress...everything.

You're too young for this to be happening to you.

Tell us everything and we'll do our best to help you my friend...and don't be embarrassed, we've seen much worse in here over the years.

    You are among friends!

As far as I know, I was just diagnosed "low testosterone ". I felt like an emotional train wreck, couldn't sleep, same erection issues, etc. In terms of diet, I ate relatively clean and was about 10% BF. I worked out four to five days a week, 6'3", 200 lbs. Now I'm about 215 lbs. but I think a good chunk of that is muscle gain as I still work out regularly. Throughout my twenties, I did not work out, ate like crap, weighed over 240, and had a pretty heavy smokeless tobacco habit from about 18 until 30. I am 37 now.

Here is the pre-trt blood work - I was put on trt just over a year ago. I do 100 mg injections once a week instead of 200 mg every other week (what my doctor originally wanted to prescribe).

    Total T: 224, normal range 348 - 1197
    LH: 3.5, normal range 1.7 - 8.6
    FSH: 3.1, normal range 1.5 - 12.4
    Estradiol: 18, normal range 7.6 - 42.6
    PSA: 0.6, normal range 0.0 - 4.0
    Prolactin: 7.6, normal range 7.0 - 15.2

    Thyroid:
    T4, Free (Direct) 1.62 (ref range 0.82 - 1.77)
    TSH 3.29 (ref range 0.45 - 4.5)
    Triiodothronine 3.0 (ref range 2.0 - 4.4)

I just had another full panel run and should get the results on Monday (tomorrow) and will post them. My test is usually around 850 now.

When I was 14 I had hernia surgery. That's the only other thing I can think of. Stress is probably typical... although my wife is bipolar and my youngest daughter ADHD/ODD so maybe a little higher than typical but not earth shattering.

One more question in advance of posting my latest blood work. I can't imagine what would cause low T given my blood results above, but, if by further blood tests a cause can be identified and treated, what would the chances be of coming off TRT (I expect over time with some HCG help)?
