Why not Clomid? To prevent atrophy?

The more and more I read the more questions I have.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me why people on TRT like myself are not pre scribed Clomid in the same way that HCG is prescribed to prevent shutdown of natty test production in our bodies? Why aren't people using Clomid as opposed to HCG? I am sure there is a logical explanation , but I cannot find one in my searching. Thanks in advance.

The body can't sustain long dosing periods of Clomid like it can HCG .

Clomid is not an LH analog like HCG is.

They are used for different purposes.

Just curious about that statement. I've just started Clomid (I have a thread on here with my story) and all I've really found about the subject is that there's no long-term studies on Clomid's use for an extended period of time.

there is at least one long term, 3 year, study on clomid. it showed it was efficacious and well tolerated.

personally, I have seen some people talk about clomid while on TRT and doing some n=1 "clinical trials". it is an interesting topic to me. I look forward to these results, hoping that people do share.

is it a replacement for HCG ? no. it's different from HCG. but could it work? well, IMO it's not a bad theory.

Thanks, I have seen the study you're referring to. For some reason I thought it was only a one year study but after checking again it's clearly 3 years.

Ask yourself why the leading medical practitioners in the filed of HRT in men don't use Clomid beyond a restart protocol.

They are way smarter than any of us, yet they don't use it for the purposes the OP questioned.

For me the biggest reason is Clomid is not an LH analog. HCG does way more than in the body that just keeping the testes functioning. We have LH receptors throughout our bodies beyond just the testes and many in the brain so it serves a lot of other hormonal functions.

Clomid can't do what an LH analog can do...simple as that for me.

gdevine sorry to hijack just a quick queseton. Will testosterone absorb no matter where I inject it? Say I inject it all over the quad as long as I don't nick a vein/nerver/vessel etc? will the oil always readch the blood stream?

I'm taking clomid 25mg everyday with hcg , anastrozole and cyp 200mg per week. After my 6 week BW my LH was 0.2 and FSH 0.2 which exactly what they were to my initial Bloodwork before ever starting TRT.
Gdevine told me from the get go that it was a waste of money but with fertility being a very important factor I was willing to give it a try. So I just got my 2 month supply of meds last week and I did get the clomid again just to check and see what BW does in 8 more weeks. I won't be paying $120 for 60 clomid pills again I can promise you that. if hmg wasn't so dang expensive I would be all over that for 2 weeks to try and increase fertility.
