    First self pin! Totally anti-climactic!

So, just a reminder of my background - been using T cream for a couple of months with no improvement. I bit the bullet back in April and signed up with LowTestosterone.com. Can't say enough good things about them. They're always around to answer my stupid questions

The Doc has me doing 50mg every 3.5 days, so thats .25 ML of 200mg/ml test c. I received the supplies and test c from the pharmacy last night. I'll be injecting Saturday morning and Tuesday evening.

Anyways, to the point. I just did my first self pin. 23G to draw, 25G to inject in my quad. I seriously think the hardest part of the process was getting the right amount of T into the syringe before injecting. No pain at all on injection. Take it slow, and it was fine! Anybody whose worked up about this can take it from me - a total needle-phobe. It was nothing.

Oh and mad props to the folks at LowTestosterone.com, they're great to work with!

    Ray

I hit myself for the first time last night in my thigh, no pain although I was sweating harder then anytime in the gym. I am a huge needle hater. I remember watching a good friend of mine inject herself with heroin in a car and I opened the door and puked.

I've only been at this for 8 weeks and still hating needles. I've been having my GF pin me in alternating quads, IM, and sometimes I don't even feel it go in, but a couple have made my leg jump pretty good, not fun. Is that a nerve being hit? was planning to man up and inject myself today, I have no problem self pinning hgh subq.

Just did second pin a couple of hours ago. Went really well. Darn, wish I started with injections and skipped the months on cream!

Using a 25 gauge needle really helps with elevating muscle soreness, reducing scare tissue and overall painless administering techniques. 23 gauge is good for drawing solution out of the bottle. However, be sure to throw that needle awayand replace with a 25 gauge as it dulls just going through the rubber stopper. Most compounded T these days is a thinner blend then commercially available T and can be pushed through a 25 for IM or even smaller gauge 27+ for SubQ.

Yeah I'm the same, I used to hardly be able to look at a needle. First time the tech at my doc showed me how to do it... he pulled out the 18G needle to load the syringe and I thought, "Oh jesus that sucker is a shovel, and I'm going to stab myself with it?" Fortunately I used the 23G and now the 25G instead

But yes, 1.5" of needle into my quad is almost painless now. I'm a freak but I love it now. Love the hCG SQ, too.

    Thanks Mike!

I think the thing that takes the longest right now is drawing the solution out of the bottle. I was actually thinking that something larger than 23G might help here. I've got to say that 25G in the quad is literally painless.

Thanks again to the folks at lowtestosterone.com!

Yeah - I have not started HCG (yet?) but I'm guessing that the subq will be as painless as the IM.

Raym, I use a 21 gauge tip to draw out the medication (over kill I know) and the process is very fast, as you can imagine. Then I just switch the tip to a 23 gauge (Me and Mike argue about this all the time and I like the larger tip for a faster injection).

The first time I injected myself years ago, I turned on "Rage against the machine" and stared at the needle for an hour! Sweat dripping down my face and body! By the end of it, I ended up hitting a blood vessel and I swear to god, I was bleeding like a pig. it took me an hour to get the nerve to inject and at to top off the story, I ended up calling 911 because I could not get the bleeding to stop! I was only 17 at the time, but I can tell you that I never want to have that fear of a first injection again and I am glad its all behind me lol I completely feel for those men who have to inject for the first time!

SubQ with insulin syringe is painless! You wont even feel it.

I don't even feel hcg subq slin pins most of the time. If it wasn't cold I wouldn't know it went in.
