Change in FDA regulation for hCG supply?
I called to get a refill and they informed me that there was a change in the FDA regulation of hCG to limit patients to just a 30 day supply. Has anyone else been told this?

Do you have health insurance that covers the hcg ? Myself, I recently lost my job and unfortunately am on government assistance (temporarily). They do cover my test cyp but same as you experienced with the hcg, they only let me have 30 day supply. Which meant I got 600mg of cyp in 3 200mg vials.

I'd find that hard to believe as it usually comes in 10,000 unit vials. Unless they can get smaller dose vials? Some States have certain regulations regarding TRT supplies such as Test Cyp & HCG . It maybe something enacted in your particular State?

I just checked on the FDA Website and didnt see anything listed regarding TRT. Just all that nonsense on the diet craze with HCG ...

They actually asked if I was using it inappropriately. I am not in any way but noticed that I was running low and then pulled the last of the hCG last night and it was suppose to last another 2 weeks. I said in the most tactful way that the vials seemed a little short of supply. To which she replied with the sudden FDA change since my refill 6 weeks ago that they could only provide a 1 month supply. I wasn't sure if they just put up red flags on me and was bullshitting me. I'd imagine that any FDA change would be a national thing and not just down to the state level.

Well, if they feel you're over-dosing than that's the answer. What is your dose and what size vial do you get? I get 10,000 units and I pin 250 units M,W & F. It usually lasts around 90 days...

I couldn't imagine a compounding company would lie to me and still issue me a supply in the name of an FDA change. How can you have a 90 day supply when the shelf life is 60 days for hCG ? I pin 250iu's x2 a week. I don't have the vials in front of me so I can't answer the other question.

Shelf life is 30 to 60 days depending on the brand. As long as the solution is clear, you can continue using it. It "might" lose a little potency, but that wont matter too much. At $150+ a vial, I make it last. Some people on here even pre-fill insulin pins then freeze the pins with the solution in them & store in a tupper ware container in the freezer. They say it only takes 10 mins for one pin to thaw before use. I don't have the time to do this, but they say it works fine. That's another option to extend the shelf-life...

Pharmacist told me no longer than 60 days when I bought my first 10,000 vial, but she was comfortable with up to 60 days. The documentation supplied with the hCG states the same thing.

My compounding pharmacy just delivered my two month supply of HCG yesterday. I doubt the "FDA Excuse" you've been given is 100% accurate.
