I am in bad shape and need help
I have been with my wife since she was 15 and I was 23. Now I am 50 and falling apart. It started about 7 years ago that I started loosing my libido. I am now so bad that I go for months without $ex and the wife is not happy and thinks I have another woman. In reality I would not get h0rny if a beautiful teenager drops her panties in front of me. Sad.
Well a few months ago after studying the internet for hours at a time I read about Test Gel. I live in a small village of southern Mexico and went to the drug store (without my wife knowing) and bought a box of Lowtiyel.
Every morning while she was in the garden I would take a shower, dry off and rub a pack of gel on my shoulders. Within 4 days the gel kicked in and I was as horny as a teenager. I also had tons of energy and a great mood. My wife was wondering what happened to me. She was so happy and got action up a couple of times a day. She found out my secret after a couple of weeks and did not mind. Then after about 2 months I started loosing my libido again. I changed application from shoulders to back and them my ribs even my nuts. It helped a bit but eventually my libido was gone. I quit the test gel for a couple of months and went back on again. My libido went back up again but it only lasted for about a week.
I have been off it now for several sexless months and went to the pharmacy to get some more again and they are out.
Been reading this forum and all over the internet and I figure my estrogen must be high because I have the moobs and other symptoms. I still get a slight wood some mornings but nothing worth bragging about. Plus I am too sleepy and have no interest in using it. No libido.
I get up at 9am and eat breakfast go back to bed at noon after lunch. Sometimes I am too tired to eat lunch. Then I get up again at 3 or 4 pm. I than usually can make it until 10 pm.
I am very depressed, no libido, no energy, get grumpy fast and blow my lid. I am so unhappy. On top of that I have a lot of stress as my business is doing very bad as I am not able to give it much attention.
i have a great wife or she would have left me long ago.
I am on the verge of loosing it all to the bank.
I have to take a Modifinal to stay awake all day, or if I have a lot to do I take 2 hydroxycut and that gets my hyped up (but jittery) to get stuff done.
I finally went to the drug store yesterday and bought Sostenon 250 which I will self inject once a week and Arimidex which I will take 1/2 pill every 3 or so days.
I really need the testosterone up and the Arimidex to lower my estrogen.
I will monitor how I feel with the Arimidex and stop if needed.
In a few months I plan to have a blood test if I can afford it.
I plan to inject the Sostenon 250 weekly for the rest of my life if I have to.
I got Saw Palmetto, zinc, cod liver oil and mega man vitamins. Wanted to get DHEA but G N C Mexico says it is illegal to sell it in Mexico. Weird.
Could not really afford all the stuff I bought but I thought I better try something before I kill myself. I think suicide a lot.
If I start feeling better I will have the energy to hit the gym. There is 1 bodybuilder in the gym and I will ask him if I can train with him for bodybuilding.
I saw an article on 72 year old Dr. Life on the internet and want to get like that in my old age. Too bad I can not afford HGH or his clinic. Maybe one day.

Hi
I would say the first thing to do is determine the root cause of this. did you have your blood checked? maybe its andropause you are suffering from...but then again, safest bet would be to get your blood checked and perhaps you can get an MD to sign you on TRT/HRT thereby having insurance cover your costs
Reason why i insist on the blood check is that many a time what you read on some forums and sites could be inaccurate, biased or plain BS. And many a time, we are guilty of misinterpretation because we want desperately want a solution and are willing to take any risk.
For instance Test injections could turn bad if you have prostate issues...hgh could be bad if you are prone to cancer or have any cancerous tissues prepping up...T3/T4 would mess u up if you have hypo/hyper thyroid etc...
so to cure one thing you might be embarking on a shitty ride that would be worse than the original issue itself!!
I would say
1- do not despair...at this day and age there are many cures available. What you want is not the quick and dirty but something more permanent and without side effects.
2- get your blood tested to try to get to the bottom of this. surely there is a deficiency somewhere. could be at best age related or for example if you smoke heavilly or drink a lot of alcohol etc or worse case could be something going wrong in your body and lack of libido is one of the symptoms. for instance the need to sleep more frequently and the tiredness could be caused by a liver acting up on you or by blood sugar playing up...so many causes with different cures...
3- based on the results you can then decide on the proper approach to adopt and hit the nail right where it should be hit.
Good luck man and hang in there. keep us posted.

I just noticed the issues you are talking about (business financial etc).
I do relate to this as I have somehow "been there done that" as they say...can be tough to "get it up" when all you have on your mind is that payment you missed or that debt thats hanging above your head. but I learned its all a question of mindframe. ED is one of the issues we face very commonly in this day and age...
money comes and goes but health once it goes, becomes hard to get back. hard and costly so I would say first thing would be to try and relax a little.
give yourself some you time.
cut out all those aids you use to keep awake etc...they may be hurting more than healing. I personally think we humans of the 21st century are too pill dependent. a pill to wake up a pill to open the appetite a pill to help digestion a pill to sleep ... geez...
I would try to break that vicious circle and start looking at natural relaxing methods...an hour a day where you just forget ALL your issues and focus on something else totally unrelated...meditation....writing...painting...any thing aside from the daily stress issues.
start with this and get your blood tested.
no offense to anyone but do not take any drug advice from anyone before having identified the root cause of your ailment.
you might be surprised to learn its stress related and nothing is wrong with you...or it could be something else and in that case you would have a condition and a known cure for it and you would embark on that road.
working out is great btw. It helps me a lot. I work a minimum of 18 hours a day ... have my own business and of course all the stress associated with this but come hell or highwater I have to hit the gym EVERY DAY for One hour at least. I turn off my cell phones and just focus on working out and cardio. then I shower and turn back the phones on...at which point i am ready to tackle any issue that might arise.

Hi CMadden and welcome to forum.
I feel ya man, I struggled too with your burden. We all have, in one way or another, but do not be disheartened. Better days await you :-)
First, are you able to get labs drawn (blood tests?) I realize money doesn't grow on trees, but testosterone -replacement-therapy is extraordinarily difficult it nail down without hard numbers. If not, I think -- perhaps in contrary to what many members will ridicule me for -- that TRT *can* be beneficially administered without labs. I'm sure I'll get slammed for saying that, but I believe that any male with severely low levels of testosterone can make great strides forward with a generic protocol. Your struggle tugs at my heartstrings, too :-)
Just as statistical mean resides in the middle, so does a generic TRT protocol, or one that many of us perhaps started with before adjusting based on symptoms, blood tests, personal objectives and goals, etc. Basing your regiment somewhere in first standard deviation may make your life 90% better. The last 10% may need labs to adjust, say, estrogen or maximize testosterone levels . But I can attest that any step forward is coveted many times over than acquiescing to the status quo.
For example, if 100 mg of exogenous testosterone per week results in a blood concentration testosterone level of 500 ng/dl, than we would recommend an increase in medication, as you're trending toward the low(er) side (assuming 800 ng/dl is optimal). However, 500 ng/dl is leaps and bounds better than an arbitrary starting point of 100 ng/dl
Conversely, if 100 mg of exogenous testosterone per week results in levels well over 1000 ng/dl, than we would recommend reducing your medication. The crux, as obvious as it may be, is that no one will know whether you're low or high.
In order to determine where you land, you'd need to pay close attention to your symptoms. To compound the last statement, many symptoms of TRT overdose are similar, if not the same, to presented symptoms when underdosed. Woe to the delicate balance of hormones.
Do you see how critical numbers are? So, before we head down the chancy road, are you able to get labs?Last edited by phaedo; 05-23-2013 at 04:02 AM.

I will caveat my post with what Othello says here -- *you must know* what is the cause. Without the cause, than there stands little chance the problem can be unraveled.
Your name, Othello, reminded me of a line when Iago says: "How poor are they that have not patience. What wound did ever heal but by degrees." Hypogonadism is treated small steps at a time, I like to think, with lots of patience.

Hi there,
sorry to hear things are so rough for you at the moment. Can I ask if you are near Mexico City? I know someone there who does a lot of hormone replacement therapy, and he may be able to recommend a reasonably priced doctor to you who can help you.

I guess I would have to quote Iago as well to say to thee:
"Thou know'st we work by wit, and not by witchcraft; "
and wit tells us to carefully study the terrain before we leap into the unknown ... I personally have done my fair share of leaping and messing up...at 43 I have tried many combinations and back in the time i began, there was no internet (1986-87) where I lived in West Africa and the only way to learn was to experiment on ones self...
anyway...I hope OP finds a way around his problems soon.

I can't afford the blood work right now but I know I have andropause and low t. I can feel it. The test gel worked for a while but I think I had a hard time absorbing it later on as the hot weather season started and you start sweating as soon as you get out of the shower.
I will get a blood test soon.
Meanwhile I pinned with the Sostenon 250 today. First time ever in my life that I have stuck a needle into my body. But I was desperate so I tried. 20 guage needle x 1 1/2 inch I thought I would never be able to do it.
Thanks to Google I studied the right way to do it for hours. It was so easy. I did not even feel the needle pricking my skin. I had to look real good because I did not feel anything. I thought it was a trick needle. I aspirated and then slowly injected the test. Pulled needle out, no blood, no pain, massaged my thigh and then had a huge crap from the fear.
No big thing from now on. In a few days I hope to feel a bit better and then I need to look into getting the blood work done someday soon.

You are rushing and are going to do what you want to do. I would read and learn as much as you can from the knowledgeable people on this site as quick as possible. The first minor bit of advice I can give you is to use a smaller gauge needle. 23 gauge by 1 1/2 inch is ideal for glutes or 1 inch for delts. 20 gauge is a friggin dart.
What otpimal bloodwork results look like
Trt protocol timing
Trt options
Controlling estrogen
Dht
Pregnenolone
Proper administration of shots

On the first round you probably saw a spike in E2, which elevated E2 in men will have a negative effect with men.
You can't afford to continue on this path. You will risk other potential problems (upstream and downstream) without being able to manage this correctly.

"Feeling" is no basis for justifying TRT. Emotion is the most precarious, if not dangerous, causal nexus to act. Can you confirm low testosterone ? Can you eliminate other possible factors, such as thyroid, tumors/cancer, autoimmune disease(s), etc.?
I don't understand how you can afford testosterone gel/Sustanon 250, but not labs? I'm assuming your medication isn't pharmacy grade, which further exacerbates your problem. To put it lightly, Mexico has some bizarre economics.
As Spartans09 mentioned, 20 gauge is near harpoon size. I dunno how you didn't feel that lol.

I second this. I'm not a man, but a hypothyroid woman. In the last year, I have "known" several times that I was hypothyroid again and that my med needed to be increased, so I inched it up, and felt better. Finally as things started to really fall apart I relented and saw a doctor, and I found out I was overdosing thyroid meds. The real problem was my adrenal glands and now I am having to sort all that out whilst backing down the thyroid meds. And this was from someone "experienced" who knew what having low thyroid hormones felt like. And I was still wrong.
I was also sure we would find my testosterone was low, based on symptoms, but actually it's very slightly high normal, and it's my estrogens that are somewhat low. I'm really glad that I didn't just take it upon myself to try to dose testosterone.
You might end up costing yourself even more money having to fix problems you could be creating by guessing. It's a false economy in the end. I heard your desperation, and I get it. But at the moment you are gambling with your health and money, just hoping to be lucky. I do wish you the best of luck.

The stuff I bought was expensive. The gel used to be US$50 for 14 paks. The Sostenon 250 was US$25. for 1 rediject. The Arimidex was a whopping $117.
I actually had the power cut off on my home because I could not pay. I got it paid this afternoon and am back online.
Angelbites: The closest city to me would be Chetumal, far from Mexico City. My doctor in my village told me to pray to God for help so that is why I am trying to be Dr. Google.
Yes the 20 guage is huge but it did not hurt a bit. It came with the rediject so I just used it.
I will be getting a blood test in the next few days hopefully.
What should I tell them to look for?

The first Sostenon 250 went into my thigh and nothing. Was taking 1/4 Arimidex twice a week. I felt a bit better and got some wood but when I tried to use it it went soft. I stopped the adex right away. Pinned the other Sostenon 250 in my thigh 1 week after the first. Within days I was noticing the real effects. Now I am back to the way I was at 20. My wood is huge and rock hard. I feel so great I am like a new man. Wife was doubtfull of my experiment but has a huge smile now and changed her opinion. I thought I had gyno but after doing a lot of research it turns out I am only overweight. Touch test under my nipples is hollow just too fat. I have dropped a lot of weight, and am eating right. No more tortillas, bread, potatoes and the bad stuff. Lots of veggies, egg whites, black beans, tuna. Soft drinks, sugar, gluten and so on are history.
I feel like a million bucks. Yes I pinned another sust today and will still get my blood work done soon. Wow what a feeling.
