Are you becoming more alpha when you're on higher end of normal range?
When your testosterone are at the higher end of "normal" range like 1000-1200 ng/dL, are you tolerating less bullshit, take more risks in life, etc?

I am wondering whether synthetic testosterone can change a man to be more socially dominant (Who'll Be the Alpha Male? Ask the Hormones | Psychology Today).

I have become more mellow now that my levels have went up. My highest was 820, but I have noticed that my mood is more stable. I had serious anger issues when my level were like 200-300. So if anything, I am more stable, think clearer and think before I react. Maybe I am aware that test can make you a little short fused and am trying to keep myself in check. But in all honesty, it made me a lot more tolerable person.

I agree with most of the above..
I have ran a higher end cycle of test even back many years ago with a healthy dose of Deca and Dbol to boot and never felt anything but warm and cuddly.
A few weeks ago when I went to ed injections of Tren while on a more restricted diet I felt that my intolerance of BS was up and little arguments kept me a little heated for longer then normal. Now with just a little less tren and more calories I am back to normal outside of feeling huge when I eat and dominating in the weight room.

this is the TRT section. while I'm cruising, I try to keep my levels in the low 700's. Most of the sides are minimized, and still my test levels are higher than a 21 year old in most cases.....

It is an interesting effect for sure. I was the biggest social ***** / introvert before I started TRT, or using any compounds. Now, not so much. It slowly, but surely changes your behavior, if only in a minor way.
I think it certainly makes you more alpha over long periods of time. Asshole? No. Memory seems to be worse sometimes though.

Even trans got an effect from increased test levels.
Below is a report of a Dutch transsexual undergoing female-to-male hormone therapy. He was taking testosterone for three months in order to stimulate physical changes -- but he was shocked by how much it changed his mind too. Here's what he said about starting to think like a man:
"I have problems expressing myself, I stumble over my words. Your use of language becomes less broad, more direct and concise. Your use of words changes, you become more concrete. I graduated with a 10 for Dutch. It is subconsciously different. It is a much more spatial, a more visual language. I can make comparisons more easily. I think less; I act faster, without thinking.
I can’t make fine hand movements any more; I let things fall out of my hands.
The visual is so strong… when walking in the streets I absorb the things around me. I am an artist, but this is so strong. It gives a euphoric feeling. I do miss, however, the overall picture. Now I have to do one thing at a time; I used to be able to do different things simultaneously."
It's just one anecdote, but pretty amazing nonetheless. Language abilities became less expressive and broad, but more concrete, direct, concise, and spacial. Visual sensation up. Thinking less, acting more. Improved ability to focus on one task, but decreased ability to multi-task.

FWIW, I noticed that I'm more confident and assertive. Then again, correlation does not equal causation.

When I begin to tip the scale on TRT (1200+), I get more emotional, sappy, and sensitive... which has nothing to do with testosterone and everything to do with estrogen. So in that regard, no, I'm the opposite.
But as others have mentioned, when my levels drop sub-200, I'm constantly short, cranky, and short-fused on ANY little thing.
Thank you God for TRT.

Does having your testosterone at normal levels make you less procrastinating?

I care a lot less about things I cared about before. Good thing imo. Confidence is also higher. Haven't taken any more risks than before, although some things I do different because the possible negative outcome isn't as bad to me anymore.
Mood is fairly mellow, but when calories are lower I am more irritable. If E2 is elevated I can be more short with people, and if T is low I am much more irritable.
It making you more of an alpha just isn't true imo. I thought at first it would change a few other things, but it just didn't. On the other hand you can change your personality to a degree on your own. For instance making a conscious effort to be more decisive. Choosing to not hold back and control a situation etc.

i noticed no change in "alphaness" or assertiveness on TRT. my levels were around 1000 at trough for a period, but I feel better overall around 700 which is what I am at now. for me, the biggest mood alterations come from high or low estradio.

Being more "Alpha" is a subjective term and if you think being Alpha is having a short temper, then I dont know what to say.
Put this way, if you're a prick and you drink excessively, then likely you be a bigger prick on the alcohol.
I'd agree that certain substances probably enhance and already existing personality and all traits.

I wasn't referring to that. I am thinking more in context of commanding presence without seen as too "dominating".
Below pages explain more:

And do you notice that women are more attracted to you when you're on T?
