    Am I experiencing high E2?

I am 50 years old, 5'8 225 lbs. I have never taken steroids before. I have been working out pretty regularly since starting TRT about 15 weeks ago. I have about a 25% BF, which I know is high, but it is lower than when I started TRT.

I am at the 5.5 week point in my new TRT program (With a new doctor). I will have bloodwork done again in 2 weeks, due to being out of the country right now.

The doctor has me on 160mg Test C, once a week, with HCG 250IU (also once a week).

He told me not to take the AI unless I started experiencing high E2 symptoms. The problem is, I don't know if I am experiencing them or not.

The reason I am concerned is that one of the main reasons that I went on TRT was to help with ED. While I can see improvements in the other symptoms, the ED seems to be getting worse. I normally take a half of a Levitra before sex, but recently I have to take a whole one, and the effects are not as good as they were a couple of months ago.

Could this be caused by high E2? Is it time to start taking the AI?

The doctor said that we may up the dosage of HCG to twice a week after I get my blood results. Could the low dose of HCG cause this, and I just need to be patient for a couple more weeks? Yes, the testicles seem smaller, and they are pulled up tight, and they used to hang much lower.

    Thanks

wrong protocol. I bet your e2 is through the roof and you cold be holding lots of water, and yes you could be experiencing gyno. AI must be administrated based on BW and it can't wait 5.5 weeks or more, follow up BW needed to be done no more than 4 weeks after you start TRT. you can't let E2 get out of hand. also E2 can crush your libido and you can have ED symptoms worse that before. so get your e2 in check now, do BW.

hCG once a week is a waste of time and money IMO, it needs to be done minimum twice a week or three times a week splitting the dose. hCG will raise your e2 even more, so don't follow your doc's ill advice, read the stickies and take that info with you on your next visit.

    Thanks Bass.

I have to think the doctor knows what he is doing. He is part of the LowT network. I just can't get my BW done right now. I asked him before I left the US if I should get the BW done a week early (at the 5 week point), or wait until 8 weeks. He thought it was better to wait.

I am just wondering if I should start taking the AI now, or wait until the 10th of June when I can get the BW done.

What makes you think you have gyno?

High E2 does not necessarily equate to gyno. Even sensitivity does not always equal gyno. Lumps = yes. Some guys will never get it no matter how high their estrogen level. Like Bass said, your issue could be very easily caused by high estrogen and BW is the only key here. I'd hate to tell you to medicate without your doc's approval. If you choose to begin the AI, use the smallest possible dose the day after your injection.

    Thank you Kelkel,

I was under the mistaken impression that Gyno and high E2 were the same thing. I will modify the post to correctly reflect what I am asking.

The doctor told me to start the AI if I had symptoms. I am just not completely sure if I am having them. The pharmacy cut the pills in half, so I think that is the smallest dose I can take.

If ED is your only symptom then just wait the two weeks for your blood. You start taking a AI now you will muddy the blood test results.

Why in god's name doesn't your "dr." tell you, specifically, what symptoms to watch for. Amazing.... Call his office.

When your doc gets the results if elevated...they will Rx E2 blocker. Very important to the doctor to see just how you aromatise during the 4 short weeks when you start TRT. If you have symptoms during this time...chest sensitivity, then they will Rx E2 blocker. If you are not having the chest sensitivity symptoms then its ok to wait until you get back and do labs at 8 weeks. Your in good hands Mr. Gamble. Your doctor told you you all of this and its important you just communicate with them.
