    clomid given now sore nipples

    Hello all

I was given clomid to try for low testosterone therapy 50mg tablet everyday, I have been taking one everyday for 12 days and now my nipples are sore and it feels like I`ve got a lump under my left nipple.

Not that I play with my nipples often, but I've never noticed this before. I have stopped the clomid just in case.. I couldn't feel any difference while I was taking it either..

I`m worried now tho, should I go to the doctors? or I there anything I can do?

Call your doctor explain to him whats going on. Ask to have some blood work done and include a estrogen senitive test.

Clomid is composed of two isomers, one of which has more pro-estrogenic characteristics than the other. It's uncommon but could be causing your nipple symptoms as it has a listed common adverse reaction of "breast tenderness". I naturally assumed that this applied more to women than men but it doesn't specify which and I haven't looked into.

Definitely talk to your doctor and ask him (or her) about trying tamoxifen instead. Keep us posted.

thanks for the advice, I was on trt but it didn't do anything for me so I was taken off it and put onto clomid, but now I`m having this reaction, I may try and get an estrogen blocker like armidex to suppress it...

I`ve never taken steroids before but have low testosterone , since being on trt I`ve had nothing but problems, looks like this is another one...

The last time I had a blood test it took three weeks to receive the results, I don't want to wait that long to receive treatment for this issue... doing my head in....

I`ve posted a few times on here before, but don't have any up to date bloods (that I have access to)

I have been suffering from low testosterone for 2 years+, never taken steroids , train 3-5 days a week and have done for over 10 years.

Symptoms: NO drive, no morning wood, limp any other time, very moody, depression, no energy, lethargic, severe weight gain (4 stone in a year), to name a few.

    Treatments I`ve tried

nebido : which gave me spots, sore and shrunken testicles and no improvement in symptoms.
Test E : same as above and also got septicaemia, so stopped.
Clomid: 12 days in and looks like another problem.

Each time I have a blood test, its 2-4 weeks before I get a response, can only see the endo every 4 months which is next to useless, 4 hour journey for a blood test most times.

Don't know what to say really..

Sorry it sounds like your having a really rough time. From the little info I have here it sounds like you might have a thyroid problem but that is purely speculation. Do you know what blood work was done?

I`ve had my thyroid checked, and it came back normal. My last test result was 11.4 which is in range (8-30) but I still have all the symptoms, I wont be able to get hold of my test results till Monday unfortunately (or try to at least).

If you'rre symptoms are due to Clomid it's unlikely that an aromatase inhibitor will do anything about it.

Def speak to your doctor. If he hasn't tested your thyroid before putting you on test, given your symptoms you should find a new doc.

I've only had the nipple issue since taking the clomid! Never had it before I started taking the clomid! I've changed endos 4 times!! Currently waiting for my fifth! They try summet, if it doesn't do anything, instead of more test/solutions they say ill see you in 4 months, to see if my symptoms magically change on there own!! It's a joke

How long were you on Nebido? You need to be on it for like 6 months before you can really gauge it.
And shrunken testes are normal on test unless you use hcg as well.

Just been to the hospital as I am worried about this, they said they can`t do anything and I need to see my endo for screening and blood work ect. I will have to wait at least 2 months for this to happen, what should I do in the mean time... If it is gyno caused by the clomid should I just try and get some armidex? is there a chance of it getting worse or going away on its own?

    Very worried now

If it was me I would take matters into my own hands and pick up some tamoxifen 20 mg a day for a week.

That's what I was thinking, is this better than armidex?

Can you plz explain how arimidex would
help gyno induced by clomid? I honestly don't understand how this would work, especially considering your recently normal blood estrogen values.

I honestly am not trying to be rude but I answered this question more than once already and you keep posting the question regarding whether you should take arimidex .

Sorry Doc, I`d missed your post about tamaxifen, my heads all over the place. I`m going to try and get into my local GP tomorrow, I`m sure the answer will be you need to see your endo which will potentially be 2-4 month wait. I don't have tenderness to touch as such I could pull on my nipple and it doesn`t bother me, its kind of a lump under the skin that feels hard ish, it is sore but not tender as such.

    Thanks again for your help

Raloxifene may be a bit better for you than Nolva if you can get a hold of it. For gyno that is.

I was only thinking tamox bc he needs something for low test as well. I don't think ralox would help much with his test levels.

Went to the doctors, and he said to come of the clomid and come back in two weeks, he said not to take anything else at all! If the lump is still there in 2weeks, I can have a scan, blood test ect...
