question re inject amts and results

    Hi Guys:

I'm using .5 ml (100 mg) per week. I have a stupid question. The syringe starts wih a long hash mark and then has four small hash marks before the next long hash mark (at .5).

If I draw back to the .5 mark does that take into account the liquid in the cap and needle. If not then I'm injecting .5 plus what's in the cap and needle. It seems like the cap and needle hold about .1 ml so if that's not included when you draw back to .5 then I'm injecting closer to .6.

It's a BD 3 ml syringe Luer-lok Tip with BD PrecisionGlide Needle. It has long hash marks at 1/2 to 3 ml with #'s every 1/2 ml.

The needle is a BD SafetyGlide 25G x 1. It has a long base. I tried to provide link but web site won't let me.

My TT has jumped from 58 -- a year ago -- to 970 (std. range is 250 to 1100). My FT has gone from 9.8 to 222.4 (std. range is 35 to 155).

I'm much moodier (anxious/depressed) than before treatment and haven't experienced much benefit except one. But I'd take the way I felt before over the way I feel now. The FT is high and I'm thinking that may be causing my moodiness.

My endo says I'm above goal range in both TT and FT.

I'm going to drop the amount. I just want to know if I drop to the 4th hash mark is that .4 (80 mg) total or .4 plus what's in the base and needle.

    Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing. I inject .3(60mg) twice a week and usually have the entire needle from the third line up completely full. Am I injecting more than 60mgs? if so how much? maybe i'll start playing with syringes to find the answer myself. standby...
