Estrogen's inpact on insulin sensitivity.
This unexpected finding suggests that estrogen may have independent effects on insulin sensitivity. If estrogen indeed has an independent regulatory role in this regard, this would suggest that aromatase conversion of testosterone to estrogen in men could be important in the effects of testosterone on insulin sensitivity. In addition, this would be consistent with the important role already demonstrated for estrogen on bone metabolism and with the metabolic effects observed in aromatase deficient males.

This is very interesting. Is low E and issue? I seem to go between 8-10 no matter how much T I take. If it is low, how does one increase it if the body won't?
You are awesome LowT Mike. I read every post you put on here.

Thank you for the kind words. Im here to help. I know how frustrating it can be trying to find a good TRT doc. Yes. Low E is a problem. If E2 drops to 0 very bad for endothilial layer inside blood vessels that surround the heart and brain. Generally levels between 20-30pg/ml is ideal.

I can tell you from personal experience that high estrogen causes insulin resistance.
I had a difficult time controlling my blood sugar before TRT (test levels at 250). I was put on TRT, it helped with my blood sugar significantly until my estrogen started to spike. It was one of the first indications that my E2 was high.

aromatase inhibitors
So I supplement with onion, garlic, and kale. I wonder if that is enough to keep me at 10 or under.
