    House TRT

Just saw an old episode of House where a middle aged mans two kids are sick. One of the kids is about to get her pituitary gland removed. It turns out that the guy was on trt with a gel to keep up with the younger girlfriend and it was coming out through the skin perspiration. Once again a negative for trt. Season 3 episode 19 if anyone cares to watch.

That was from the gel tho. I don't put much faith in the reliability of medical advice given on drama shows like that.

But at first glance I was thinking Damn if that's true some women gonna wonder what's happening to them. Since starting the trt I've been sweating like a pig during heavy sex and I can drench whoever I'm with.

I call BS. TV show drama meant to entertain rather than inform. The gels are generally absorbed into the body within an hour or two. After that, should be no problem. Was this guy applying his gel, then immediately "boffing" his daughter? That's about the only way I can see this scenario happening. I have been on the gel for most of my TRT and have been all over my wife during that time. So far, no problems. YMMV.

So, you've never tried the gel, but reject it out of hand? Look, if injections work for you, I'm happy for you. Really tired of the attitude around here that only real men inject.

i didnt mean that at all. injections subq are not manly at all. gels just have a lot of issues like transference, getting on clothes, you cant shower for a while, they dont work for a lot of people, high dht conversion.

nothing to do with being a man...a subq injection is over in 5 minutes, and works better for most. oh and gels smell
this is all from what ive read though, im not on trt, but i have injected hcg subq and it took me 30 sec.

hahaha. I love the show. Its almost a comedy some of the cases they write for the show to any person in the medical field. They are so far fetch and not at all accurate in medicine. Got to hand it to the writers though, they keep coming up with these crazy pathologies. PS. Not true at all. Even cross contamination with gels and creams has never been proven. Abraham Mortangaler, Asst. Professor of Urology at Harvard University put the whole crosscontamination of gel/creams to women and children to test when he performed an experiment with an man and a woman. He did a controlled study where they applied T cream all over a man, after cream was rubbed in well and let to dry... They then had a woman embrace the man and perform all kinds of physical activites. Then stagged the woman with BW over the course of the next few days and guess what?? No crosscontamination nor elevated T serum. HAHA. Good imagery...Its science.

im petty sure the contamination issue is that the t may not be fully dried. i think androgel and testim dont make claims that it would harm anyone after it is dried. i just would not feel safe using a gel...especially with my dog around.

My feeling on this is it would be extremely unlikely that you could contaminate anyone using a gel, is it possible yes, likely? No. Crisler mentioned in one of his videos that a test was done with a man simulating sex with a women the man had the gel on. The women was tested and no contamination occurred. JMHO

Crislers is refering to the same study that I mentioned done by Dr. Mortagaler. Its impossible. But just like every drug out there. The drug companies have to protect themselves. If they have a disclamer that says "This drug might kill you" and you die. They get a "Get of court free card" becasue "They told you so"

i doubt this stuff could be healthy for my dog to smell or lick...plus gels just seem like a hassle.

I have been on both, injections are much more convenient and I feel much better on them.

I use to use the gel a while back. It's very convenient but I always worried about transmitting it to my young child at that time. I did find the gel useful after a round of injections to "maintain" but found it in adequate once you were real low. I love House and I know it's far fetched but it just caught my attention.
