    Does HCG mono therapy work....ever

    So, I'm 42, male, 5'7" 155lbs.
I have all the symptoms of Low T (loss of interest in life, no libido, tired, foggy etc.) and the numbers to match.
My initial blood work results showed I had a total T level of 198.
My Dr. put me on 0.35 HCG once a day and I've been doing that for about 7 months now. My latest ( 2weeks ago) total T level is now at 383, free T is 10.2.
I've had all the thyroid screenings as well which came back OK.

My question is, shouldn't I start to feel better at some point. I've been doing this therapy for 7 months and don't feel a bit different than when I started. I've read a lot of posts on here and most people are talking about seeing some sort of results in weeks. And if the HCG is raising my testosterone (all though not much) and I don't feel any different could something else be going on?

I have a Drs. appointment on Friday and if he says he wants me to continue the HCG for a little while longer I think I'm done. If this isn't going to help the way I feel I'd just as soon stop sticking myself with a needle everyday.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

350 units per day is a lot....your estrogen is probably through the roof. hcg can work if you are secondary, and can even make yo ufeel some symptom relief, however most people will never feel complete relief unless they go on real t. i dont see the point of hcg mono..if you are going to pin forever and shut yourself down why not use real t?t is covered by insurance also, while hcg isnt.

Seven months is more than enough time to see if it works. In my opinion, you need the real thing. Try for numbers in the 700-800 and see what happens.

Getting on true TRT, actual testosterone , changed my life man. I feel good, more confident, and I just feel up to kicking ass in life.

I wish the same for you. At least get a second opinion. Seven months is too long.

Thanks for the feedback! I love hearing that TRT has changed lives. Gives me hope that this won't last forever. I'm talking to the Dr today to see if he can put me on real testosterone .

    Thanks again!
