    losing weight after starting TRT

Hey guys I have a question regarding TRT's effect on metabolism. I'm a 185 lb 23 year old male, I started TRT 6 months ago due to a pituitary tumor. Before TRT my preliminary tests are as follows: Testosterone = 259, Estradiol = 18, T3 = 2.8 pg/ml. After starting an HRT protocol of 200mg Cyp twice/week, 0.5mg Arimidex twice/week, 2grains armour thyroid/day, 500mg HCG twice/week my blood work went to: Testosterone = 901, Estradiol = 25, T3 = 3.9 pg/ml. So I'm trying to cut down to 165 from 190 on 2200 calories right now and it's insane the hunger I'm experiencing, I keep binging because of how hungry I'm getting. Before starting TRT I was cutting COMFORTABLY at 1700 calories, how much do you guys think my HRT is contributing to my metabolism? I've never experienced hunger like this in my life, I have no idea what my maintenence is now and how I should go about losing fat now that I have hormones that are balanced because my TDEE has always been REALLY low from hypothyroidism and low testosterone .

P.S. I have other blood work if necessary but I figure those are the only ones worth mentioning for the question I have.

    Testosterone increases appetite.

    Armour will increase your metabolism.
Testosterone will also increase your metabolism but I don't believe as much as the thyroid meds will.

what is your height? 2200 cals might not be enough anyway. do you weight lift, other exercises, activities? your best bet is hit the Diet section, I don't think you're eating right, and that could make you hang on to our fat. remember not to use the scale to measure progress, being on TRT will help you increase muscle so judge by the mirror and your belt.

200 mg. of test twice per week? Wow who is your doctor? I have to assume you mean 200 mg. split into two 100 mg. doses, which is still a very high dose to start with.

For six months before I started treatment I ran between two/four miles a day counting calories. I had the hardest time losing weight. Im about two months into therapy and I've dropped around 10% body fat. I eat healthy 80%of the time. My metabolism is rockin right now. Im definitely burning calories like I did 15 years ago.

If you are that hungry you are probably cutting calories too much. Unless you have a target date you need to hit the weight by, bump the calories up just keep it clean. You should be eating every 3 hours and start to get a little hungry by hour 2. Thyroid meds have a huge impact on metabolism.
