Update after 9 weeks on TRT

[B]Update after 9 weeks on TRT: things are happening slowly – more slowly than I expected. I am on 70mg of T/wk using T prop eod sub q into the love handle area, and more recently into the belly fat, as the love handles are getting a bit sore. When using 31g x 5/16” it is pretty good – but slow to draw – so went to 27g x ½”, but there is a bit of cumulative discomfort, hence moving to belly as well. Using 750iu/wk hcg – inject with the 31g Mon, Wed, Fri. Had a stuff up with the ai, and leveling out now. Will do a blood test in 2 weeks to get a handle on everything. Observations: Early morning erections pretty consistent, feeling a bit better (except for mistakenly overdosing on the ai), may have gained a little strength. However, penis sensitivity does not seem to have changed, libido still not consistently good, still experience delayed ejaculation, and erection quality still not as firm as one would like it to be – I take 5mg C and 1mg dox per day as well. Question: Is this lack of sensitivity & eq related to T? – may need more? What do you think guys? J.

John you will really have to wait the 2 weeks and see whats going on with your bw.

I do know that when you over do it with the ai it can take time to gets things back to normal....

The lack of sensitivity can be from low e2 for sure!

Hey John. Gonna touch on the libido issue. Before HRT 3 Years ago, my total T was 117. Libido was good, no issues. After T injections with HCG and an AI everything went south except strength. Only took 60mg bi weekly. Strength was great but gained at least 20 pounds. Libido was poor, didn't feel like lifting. Cant figure it out myself. It gets frustrating. First. Why prop and not a long ester? Long esters just make sense here, plus less shots required. If your sore now how do you think it's going to be in the future? Consider IM as well or rotate both with various injection sites.

Assume you mean 5mg cialis and 1mg doxazosin. Your cialis should be 5mg twice per day. Doxazosin's a nice addition as a smooth muscle relaxer. Libido involves more than just T and E levels. It's basically a symphony of things that have to flow properly.

You do not need to wait two more weeks for BW. The six week mark was fine. Visit the Finding A Doc Sticky thread at the top of the forum and use the blood work there as an example. I would not make any changes (other than cialis) until you get BW done.

do you mean twice weekly? 60 mg bi weekly s 30 mg per week

First. Why prop and not a long ester? Long esters just make sense here, plus less shots required. If your sore now how do you think it's going to be in the future? Consider IM as well or rotate both with various injection sites.

G'day Kel - the only reason for prop was that the compounding pharmacy here (Oz) had no stock of cyp. They import it from the US, and sometimes there are holdups at customs. What I want to do is sub q twice a week (bit squeamish about IM) - and do what Bass does. I have a cooperative doc here, he is okay - but TRT specialists are few and far between. I did stuff things up by overdosing on ai - bottles were the same size & colour (didn't have my glasses on) - but that will never happen again as the ai is now not even in the same room. That's why I am leaving the blood test a bit longer - to allow time for normalizing E2. J.
