On top of watermelon (which I eat every morning... great wake-up hydration), I eat pistachios in the afternoon. Healthy fats plus a great natural source of arginine.

Wow, according to that video I should be taking 4.9 grams of arginine a day... I currently take about 2 -3 grams. I'm 215 lbs, so 98 kgs / 10 * 0.5 = 4.9. Are there any issues taking that much a day? I take the same amount of citrulline as well.

I take a small cup, put arginine and citrulline in it, fill it with about a quarter to a half inch of water, swirl it around until it dissolves, clench the top of my throat so I can't taste, shoot it, and then chase with a glass of water or coffee, etc. I usually don't taste it, but the trick is to shoot it quick (I put the glass as far back in my mouth as it will go and do not catch it in my mouth but let it go right down the throat).

Other than taking arginine on an empty stomach is there a best time to take it ie first thing in the morning, preworkout or bedtime?

I don't want to start a new thread for it, maybe guys you can answer me here. Thanks.
So one of my friends gave me Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate in liquid form. He gave it to me because he doesn't like its taste (I told him he is a ***** ). So does it have the same effect like "normal" arginine? I wish to consume it in order to cure my mild-or not so mild- ED.
Cheers!

Just had mine checked out in a cheapy pharmacy machine. Too high....thought it might be. Noticed my vision was not as good as it should be and it seems to be a little off when my BP is up. I am going to try the Arginine and start hitting cardio to drive it down. I am on week 7 of my first cycle and will be working a contract for a about 10 days or so. In and out of country and now weights available, but may be able to get some cardio. Not going to stop the cycle, but will work on the BP until I get back under the bar.

Been using arginine for about 3 weeks. BP is down a bit from 140/85 to 130/80. I've recently seen as low as 120/70 but that seems to be a bit of an anomaly. I'm happy with those results so far, hope it keeps improving a little longer.

Worst thing I have ever put in my mouth, not worth it too me, not sure how guys go do a heavy workout on an empty stomach anyways. You won't be able to cover the taste I tried to mix it with several different drinks and juices and just made the taste worse. Plus running to the restroom every few hours was killing me. No thx, I'll stick with just cialis.

The stuff definitely works. I was averaging 185/100 before starting L-Arginene and Citrulline. Without changing anything but that, I am now averaging 135/95 - still high, but better. This is also taking ECA stack 2x per day.

BP this morning 117/73! its been this way since i started this supplement.
I also noticed I can breath better especially at night. usually my nose is always stuffed, but every time i take L-Arginine and Citrulline both my nostrils seems to open and air flows freely. also when i take deep breaths they are so satisfying! probably due to dilated veins in the lungs. really loving this stuff!

aust, if 4-5g (depending on weight) is an effective dose, I'm curious what the benefit of taking up to 20g in a day would have?
Also, in addition to citrulline, I also read about L-Ornithene which is an intermediate compound involved in the synthesis of L-Arginine in the body and is effective in promoting optimal absorption and assimilation of Arginine. Would this be okay to add to a arginine/citrulline stack?

It's great. But I can't do that much in one sitting. I've taken 30 grams, but never more than 9 grams at once. Turns my stomach if I take more.
Arginine, Citrulline and Ornithine will complete the urea cycle and provide the highest possible NO levels. The conversion goes like this...
Citrulline --> Argininosuccinic --> Arginine --> Ornithine.
But yes, arginine/citrulline is plenty with respect to this topic.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

What is the typical timeframe in which you should begin to see a decline in BP?
Zodiac mentioned 3 weeks he saw a significant change.. Is this the standard or does it vary?
Also, arginine+citrulline is more effective than arginine+ornithine, correct? But all three taken simultaneously would be best?Last edited by Igifuno; 11-25-2013 at 07:27 AM.

BP declines quickly as these amino's are short lived. It's best to spread your doses out. I don't know if I can quantify it as I've been on them for so long, but you should see a slight drop the same day and stabilize with continued use in the next week or so. This is all dose and frequency dependant as well.
Yes, combining all 3 would be most impactful. But again, not necessary for those who don't like to take too many pills.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

I've been taking L Arginine for just under three weeks. I'm still playing around with the dosage but my bp has dropped, mostly due to the fact that I'm eating clean, exercising and have dropped 25 lbs to date. That said, Arginine helps with NO and I've noticed as I said, lower bp, good pumps in the gym and vein popping woods in the morning. (Of course I'm on trt and don't want to down play its role) but in addition to it has been great. I'm going to start buying it and citrulline in bulk along with glutamine.
