Hcg
I'm researching more about TRT because I've been feeling all of the classic symptoms of low testosterone . I see a lot of docs seem to prescribe HCG as well. In researching HCG, I'm guessing it's prescribed because it supposedly helps increase testosterone production in the testes?
My question is, does it actually work for this? I see a ton of those weight loss centers around here (Jacksonville, FL) and they all seem to use HCG for weight loss. In looking into this (out of curiosity more than anything), seems like it really doesn't do much of anything for this but the super low calorie diet they put you on will cause you to lose weight quickly.
Just curious about that.

HCG will keep your natural testosterone production from shutting down.

Euh... yeah, no... not clear enough...
Maybe thats was you wanted to say but it can be misleading to someone who do not know how HCG act on the body.
Shutdown is referred to the hypothalamus stopping his natural production of LH/FSH.
those hormone act on the testicles to make the leydigs cells produce testosterone .
HCG act like LH. So yeah tbe testicles will still produce testosterone but HCG by hitself will shutdown.
Due to the HCG acting like LH, their will be a retroinhibition of the LH production(it will go down).
when on TRT you already do not produce LH/FSH anymore.
so you are permanantly shutdown.
HCG wont make you not shutdown...
HCG will make your testicle work like they should(HCG alone is never enough to reach a good level of testosterone...), and keep them from shrinking.
HCG will shutdown you and if you already are will keep you shutdown...
However it has plenty of benefit that you can check on the stickies.

As far as I know it can help kickstart the testicles, if your low test is due to your testicles not responding to LH.
but if low T is caused by low LH/FSH HCG alone won't help.
