Is snoring related to TRT?
It's been over 1.5 years now on TRT(love it) and one thing that I have noticed and not sure about it
is that I have started snoring.
Just curious if anyone else has noticed snoring since you been on TRT.
My fiance has temporary starting sleeping in our guest bedroom because of it lol
Thanks Trace

Well, sometimes the snoring wakes me up from sleep... it startles me.
And the other times my fiance kicks me or wakes me up to tell me i'm snoring and to roll on my side.... then after the 4th time of her waking me up in one night... i get aggravated at her for waking me up and then she go sleeps in the guest bedroom lol

I think I have started snoring more since taking Cialis everyday. I think it may have something to do with my sinuses since I seem to have hardened mucus in my nose every morning. (Hardened mucus being my attempt at saying hard boogers without sounding 12.)

That's an interesting question! I imagine it might be possible? If you gain weight - even muscle - and especially if your neck thickens, couldn't that create an apnea-like environment? Are you a back sleeper? If your fiance is leaving the room that really is indicative of a pretty significant snoring issue. And if it is tied to apnea - for whatever reason - it has some pretty serious ramifications. You might consider going for a sleep study to be evaluated for apnea.
I'm a snorer myself, super embarrassing for a woman :0 I use a chinstrap to reposition my jaw and it works very well for me. It was a cheap solution, and my hubby came back to bed. Plus I wake feeling much more well-rested. Maybe you should check out that as a possibility?

trt can worsen sleep apnea, studies have proved this. Hows your sleep quality? Might want to have a sleep study done.

TRT causes me to snore. I use a mild (4 hour) decongestant before going to bed. When needed, my wife wears ear plugs she has from swimming and shooting sporting clays. If I have been drinking heavily I go sleep in another room.

Are you taking Liquid Cia? I took mine at night at first and noticed a lot of congestion which is famous for causing snoring. I started taking it in am and it is much better.

I asked that same question months back and I think it is related to TRT. If you have very low body fat, your chances of snoring are probably less, but average and above body fat, you'll probably going to snore. Its probably due to the neck muscles thickening and possibly smaller muscles in the throat getting a little bigger. I've noticed with everyone I know on TRT, including myself, our faces seem to be thicker now. Compare to photos prior to TRT and you'll see. If you weight train, even more so from excessive wincing while lifting.......bulking up those face muscles. Back in the 80's we called it steroid face although back then it was a little more extreme.
