Test too low for my schedule??
Hey guys,
38yrs old
205lbs
13% bf
Ive got a small problem. It seems here lately when i wake up i feel achy and tired and my bones hurt and joints hurt. It usually takes about a half hour for the pain to subside maybe once my blood starts pumping. For the last week or so both my shoulders have been giving me a bit of trouble as well.
It occurred to me today maybe my problem is my test is too low? Since i started TRT 2 yrs ago i have pretty much maintained free test: 35-45 (8.7 - 25.1) and total test @1200-1500 (348-1197)...
Just 2 months ago i reduced my test down from 160mg per week to 120mg per week. This puts my total test in the low 800's (348 -1197) and my free test at 22 (8.7 - 25.1)..
Looking back now, about a month or so ago is when these symptoms started appearing. I had just figured it was a come and go thing and eventualky these symptoms would leave until today when i was in the gym thinking about how crappy i felt and i remembered yall saying an important component of TRT was "how u feel".. Well i feel like crap!!
Could it be these symptoms are currently present because my body prefers my test to be higher than it currently is??
Could the answer be to increase my dosage???
Id also like to note i started cutting about the same time i reduced my dosage and am still cutting.. On week 10.Last edited by --->>405<<---; 09-21-2013 at 01:10 PM.

What`s your protocol? Achy joints isb`t a sign of low test it`s from low estrogen. Did you reduce your ai dosage when you dropped to 120mgs per week? Also obviously you`ll feel better physically with a 1500 test level but to say your body needs that level to fubction is a load of crap you tell yourseld to feel guiltless about running around with supraphysiological levels. Theres a reason labcorps test cut off at 1197 . Men dont have 1500 test levels naturally, hell most arent even avove 1000 at their peaks. Sonething else is going on here. Do you have more blood work from your current dosage?
Also i should add that even the olympias feel like shit when cutting and they run more gear then a pharmacy. I been on a gram a week, you heal faster but being in that caloric defixit coupled with hard training, you`ll still feel like ass.

hey man,
yeh i know low E2 is a sign of achy joints, but thats not my problem. my E2 sensitive tested like a week ago was 22 (3-70)..
also im not looking for an excuse to run supraphysiological levels, im looking for an explanation for why i all of a sudden feel like crap.
protocol:
test 120mg split every 3.5 days at 60mg per.. sub q
250iU HCG every 3.5 days
NO AI
thats the only blood work i have with the exception of free t3, t4, etc.. they are "normal" but not optimal according to my doc. hes been trying to get me on armour thyroid since day one. i took it for a couple weeks and woke up at 0300 with palpitations and discontinued use. im still not sure if that was due to the armour or anxiety.
i suppose to further clarify my question. the title of the thread "is test too low for my schedule" .. thats the question. i realize 1500 total and 45 free isnt ideal long term, my question is more could this achiness be due to my body not being able to recover from the heavy training schedule/cutting diet with my levels well within the normal range. the only thing i have changed in the last 2 months is diet and dosage.. and i dropped a lot of my vitamins because i wanted to take a break from them..

405, I believe its more your diet and training, and possibly cutting down on your vitamins. of course lowering your dose will lower the benefits of Test. your pains and aches are expected based on your training, hell even a 22 year old can have these pains if training this hard. perhaps a blast once in a while can give you some relief

nah i dont think so man.. like i said it has been for awhile.. one of the shoulders could be inflammation.. i also may have some inflammation in my elbows and neck (lol).. maybe im just getting old, but im only 38 so.. i have been trying to foigure it out and cant. the only conclusion i can come to is my test being mid range and im just hitting it so hard.
currently running 4 days no carbs at significant deficit with 2 total body glycogen depletion workout days in a row, followed by 2 cardio days and then 2 more training days and a day off.
im not injured, i can still lift as heavy as normal but my damn joints (shoulders especially) are talking real loudly. back is sore today too after doing 315lb deads.. i usually do 415lbs deads..

Welcome to getting old You're old. Way older than me. I'm still young.
Test in the 800's is far from low. I'd work on getting that E2 up a little higher.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

Any possibility that it's simply time to take a week off from training?

I doubt it man. It wouldn't hurt, but I don't see going from 800 to 950 fixing the problem. If it brings your E2 up a bit it might help. I think your E2 is too low. Maybe switch to IM injections for a while.
Or add deca~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

Oddly enuff my stomach started acting up a bit today and i actually think i may have some kind if mild stomach bug. Im actually hoping this may somewhat explain why my symptoms have seemed to become more acute all of a sudden.

Training and diet. I'm 32 and feel like trash, thanks to the same. Just started a blast, I'm sure it won't fix everything but hoping I have a boost in strength and help maintaining muscle as I go through this tough time. I have two carb ups a week, the rest is no carbs.
This is just most likely to be the case. Your test levels were quite high before, so maybe you just got used to it.
edit: Are you still moving the same amount of weight and training similar to before? I could imagine that could be a contributor to feeling horrible, since we are actually in a much weaker state while dieting, yet pushing ourselves much harder because of it. I know when I am bulking and upping hte weight, I swear it's like I'm not pushing myself as hard, even when I keep moving the weights up. Same reason why I don't get my hip issues during a bulk, and don't have nagging issues like on a cut.Last edited by SEOINAGE; 09-23-2013 at 07:22 AM.
