im really confused on mixing the hcg
I have never mixed hcg before, but i was planning on mixing 10 ml of bac water into the novarel syringe. my dose is 400 iu, so that would make it an easy 40 on the insulin syringe.
Im watching vids on youtube on mixing and they all say to only use 1 cc of bac water??? can someone please help? I thought 10ml was the norm...im really confused.

Depends on how much you want to inject, the amount of hCG , and volume available -- all you're doing is a simple dilution (ratio).
If your vial is 10,000 IU of hCG, then 10 mL of bacteriostatic water would yield 1,000 IU/ml. Twenty mL of bacteriostatic water would yield 500 IU/mL. Five mL of bacteriostatic water would yield 2,000 IU/mL. In these examples, I'm using a factor of 1, 2 and 0.5, respectively. As you can tell, creating a solution is an inverse relationship between the solute and solvent.
Your doc *should* have thoroughly explained this with you (or at least instructed the proper amount to dilute and inject). ^ hope this helps. I think you're making it harder than it is.Last edited by phaedo; 10-01-2013 at 02:45 PM.

my doc is the least of the evils. He is basically the script writer, and nothing more. I wish it didnt have to be this way, but unfortunately it is.
thanks for the help! I was actually making it simple like you were, but then i watched the novarel vid and they said to use 1cc instead of 10..but glad to know 10 is the right way. my vial is 10k hcg . btw should i throw the remaining 20ml of water away? seems like a waste

Don't throw the Bac. water away. If you ever need it, you'll have it. Where I live you need to have a script to get Bac water. LowT pharmacy sent my 5 vials of HCG but accidentally only sent 1 bottle of Bac water instead of 2. I could not get it anywhere, ended up calling the pharmacy and they sent it. Luckily, they were aware of their mistake.

the two times ive bought hcg , it has always come with bac water. last time I bought pregnyl and the urologist mixed it. This time, im on my own bc my doc is very stern, and not the nicest guy...and tbh i trust myself to mix it more than him lol.
wish pregnyl were still available..that stuff was cheap!
once opened does the bac water go bad? ill save it since you said to, but i dont think ill need it.

My BAC has to be drawn out with a syringe so it is sealed still even after I get my 10ml. As far as I know, it is good unless it gets contaminated. Otherwise, I would think they would of gave me a bottle for each of my HCG which is 5. Not 100% but hopefully someone who is certain will reply.

I would use 5ml of BW with the 10k IU HCG . This will give you a much smaller injection of .2ml for 400iu.
All personal preference. I just like smaller injections.
