So this forum heavily advocates the Sensitive Assay E2 test, but in the labs mentioned above provided by LowT.com's service they do not include a Sensitive E2 test.....so that begs the question is it even necessary or is lowT.com being "cheap" and not providing it???

As of now, when you want additional testing, simply call and pay for it over the phone. We don't have it setup to be billed directly as of now. That's a lot of program changing, which isn't cheap. If enough people want extra testing, then sure, we'd probably do it that way.

There's no need for sensitive. The idea is to have the individual in a range and symptoms free. Sensitive gives you a more specific number, yes it's more accurate. But if you're in the 20-30 range, which is where most all men need to be and you're not having symptoms, why add a sensitive Assay E2?

For example I maybe 45 on a non-sensitive test and 16 on a sensitive test, how would I know which to trust and get myself in optimal range? We would be primarily going on symptoms then I say what good is the blood test.

Guys. Sensitive smenshitive... Low Testosterone is exactly right. Stop slicing and dicing the labs so much. You guys are treating the labs instead of treating the patient. WE ARE SHOOTING FOR A WIDE RANGE when it comes to estradiol. Non-sensitive essay is plus or minus 5% with its accuracy. Who cares about an exact number. Yeah. Sensitive essay is more specific. But why spend the money. Its doesn't matter. a healthy range for E2 16-40 pg/ml. An optimal range would be 20-30 pg/ml. There is absolutely no reason to shoot for an exact number when you are only trying to fall in the range.

Thank you for the clarification. I was under the impression that a sensitive E2 test was the only accurate method.

I have been using healthonelabs.com, reasonable prices on packages & individual items ...i think cortisol is either $39 or $59.....and they use LABCORP sites for the draws...so locations are convienant...
