I hope I'm not posting in the wrong thread, but after watching the HCG reconstituting video, I'm completely nervous that I did this incorrectly and injected myself with the wrong dose. I have the exact vial from the same pharmacy and it is an 11,000iu bottle which states to inject 5.5ml of bacteriostatic water into the vial. I am supposed to inject 250iu twice a week. The video shows putting in 11ml of the bacteriostatic water! I'm freaking out a bit here...

You are 100% fine. We had the pharmacy change for the exact reason you got freaked out. Its much easier to dose now and your next bottles will be bigger so the next time you reconstitute, you will be putting more bac water in the bottle. No worries.

Thank you SO much. I panicked for a moment and thought I ruined the vial and would run out before my refill was due. So 5.5ml of the bac water in the 11,000iu vial was what I was supposed to do? (My prescription is through Empower by the way) Whew!

Empower is literally one of the best compounding pharmacies in Texas and they actually have the inspection scores to prove it... top notch and we are very happy to have them on board and taking care of our LowTestosterone.com clients.. You are in good hands with them. You did 100% right when you reconstituted. Your GTG

With regards to not wasting that .1ml of test, when you draw back on the syringe to put that extra .1ml back into the syringe rather than wasting it in the hub and needle, do you actually inject that? Isn't that an extra .1ml above and beyond your dose? You would still run out early. What's the correct way to save that .1ml?

Always draw out exactly what you're supposed to take. If you're supposed to take 100mg, draw out exactly 100mg. When a guy starts thinking about all these little factors, 99% of the time he screws himself. So with 100mg you would draw out to half a ML, not 0.6, not 0.63. not anything past 0.5. And when you inject, if there's anything left in the hub of the needle, well that's what's left in the hub of the needle but you didn't take out more than you were supposed to from the bottle of testosterone and that's what matters.
Running out early is a big deal.

I really appreciate your response to my question, thank you! I only ask because of the video, it shows him pulling back on the plunger before taking the drawing needle off as to not waste what was left in the hub. When I do that, I end up with more than .5 on my syringe. I know I'm overthinking this, but I'm afraid to incorrectly dose myself or to run out a little early.

Due to you drawing back and filling your syringe to the .5ml mark, you actually have pulled out .6ml due to what was left in the tip. When you add the new tip, the .1 that appeared to be "extra" will fill up the new tip reservoir and your dose will be perfect.
The testosterone bottles are all filled with more than 10ml to compensate for this loss.

Thanks again system admin! So that .1 "extra" is actually accounted for in the total measurement once you draw back and affix the injecting needle and it fills the hub. Great! Then I'm on the correct path. That .1ml freaked me out and made me think I was giving .1 extra and I'd run out early. Thank God for this forum. I'm learning SO much here.

The doc said to inject into my hip. Is it ok to switch to my quad as it is easier when I am sticking myself?

whatever works! but for me i like SQ because I use small needle, painless, no need to aspirate , less T spikes, better E2 management and no soreness.

SQ works great for most but not all. this is why there is no one size fits all, its all tailored to the individual. i l listed the pros and cons, i don't know what else to say!

Why do some people inject testosterone subcutaneously? What's it for?

I feel if you are incredibly lean, sub-q is quite useful because it’s less painful, causes less scar tissue damage. But it’s always good to switch it up from what I heard.
