Estrogen Question
Ok, I think I've finally decoded what is on my bw for estrogen. Many of you have mentioned I need to check that before taking an AI, which was prescribed by the doc. I didn't know what it was listed as on my test since I didn't see anything like that. Then I read a post which was talking about E2 and how that is more important than the estrogen reading anyway. Apparently, it's listed under ESTADIOL.
So, yes, I have that listed on my bw. My level is 22 (range is 20-54). I understand that being low is a problem. Am I correct in this understanding? If so, do I need to take the AI in order to correct for this? I have it but have put off taking it under the advice I've read here.
Currently just started TRT (started 2 days ago). 200mg every 6 days. Already feel a huge improvement. Libido greatly improved already. I went to the gym today for the first time since the shot and, at first, I was just ok (I've been fighting something off for the last week) but, after the 2nd set, I started feeling much better than I have in a long time. I actually wanted to be there and wanted to lift. I've just been going through the motions lately (out of habit).
So far so good but I want to know whether I should start the AI and, if so, what protocol do you suggest? Bottle says 1 daily but that seems to be a lot from what I've read.
Thanks again. You guys/gals know your stuff and I'm really trying to learn.

generally an optimal range for estrodial is 20-30 pg/ml. 22 is great. Not every man will need anastrozole. Some guys even on 250mg per week wont aromatase at all. Its apples and oranges. Even its 40-45 I rarely will intervine with an E2 blocker like anastrozole but rather look at trying to help the body naturally metabolize the free Estrogen via the P-450 enzyme of the liver. you can do this just kick in 50mg zinc/ 2-3 mg copper. If i have a guy 55-70 then 50mg zinc/2-3 copper/200mg DIM can usually do the trick. Depending if there are hyper or hypo aromatizers. You never want it to get up nort of 50 or south of 15. Bad for the libedo and heart and brain.

Ok. I was a little worried when I read about it then checked mine.
I'm 44 and, while I'm not what anyone would consider fat, I do have the excess belly fat (love handles). I'm 285ish and 6' but I've lifted heavy for a lot of years. Don't know my bodyfat but probably 20-25%. So much room for improvement but not horrible.
I'm very active and I lift 4 or 5 times a week.
I'd prefer to look at taking copper--gotta be better than the blocker. 50mg of copper daily?
Thanks again.

Yes, daily. Dim daily as well. If you just started your protocol your estrogen may go up. As Test goes up E will follow. Recheck blood in Six weeks or so to see if it's still stable.

Ok. I am scheduled for my next appointment in 30 days. I believe we're doing bw then.
Thanks to everyone!

well 200mgs is the high end of TRT starting dose. You should definitely split that up into 2 100mg injections per week, ideally 84 hours apart. I think it wold be wise to start with 100mgs per week but it's up to you. Most guys would be over the range for testosterone and starting to have high estrogen symptoms. But everyone's different. Also just because your Estradiol is 22 before starting doesn't really mean anything, as I assume your test levels are low, hence the trt. With the new exogenous testosterone you're injecting your E can skyrocket. Remember E follows T. Try to get a estradiol sensitive panel when you do get your blood work, it's much more accurate for males then the standard test.

Thanks. Yes, t was low (total and free), which is why I find myself here not knowing what I don't know.
My t comes in pre-loaded syringes so I'm sorta stuck (pun intended) with the 200mg every 6 days until I see him again in a month. I plan to discuss my protocol with him to see if 100mg makes more sense.
I'll also inquire about doing a sensitive test for E when I have my next bw done--I believe we're doing this at my next appointment.
Just starting to learn some things but still not comfortable with my (lack of) knowledge. Thanks!

Good god i wish you were my provider...My doc has me on 100mg/week cyp only for about a year now. I had a vasectomy but the boys are shrinking and hurt a bit. My MD won't prescribe HCG or AI. does minimal bw. Sorry didn't mean to hijack.
